“Loop” Status

• We have achieved the first milestone with the closing of the “TSPCL2TSTS” loop: - Still need to test the loop with high rate and larger data size to look for low level problems

- Still need to test the TL2D DAQ path

• The next major milestone is to bring Daniel’s control/monitoring node into the “loop” closing THE loop.

• With “THE” loop fully tested in the test-stand, we’ll be ready for the trigger room.

Summer Integration Plans

(1) While we are still testing “THE” loop in the test-stand, we’ll start replicating in the setup in the trigger room (L2TS and Slink TXs in lower alpha crate, PCs on the 3rd floor).

(2) Repeating the same set of test-stand room tests in the trigger room using the real sparky and TS. Can be done in between stores.

(3) When the upstream system is ready, we’ll swap the SLINK fiber and send real data into the PC. Proof of principle: use the L2 Pulsar setup for L2 torture and cosmic data runs in between stores.

(4) Parasitically running L2 Pulsar in beam (compare alpha TL2D with Pulsar TL2D). In this configuration, L2TS output cable to the TS is dangling.

(5) The final step is to plug the L2TS output cable to the trigger room TS in beam run.
