•The preventative and promotive strategies and interventions are drawn from the KZN health priorities which have been identified as a result of its prevalence of the disease profile and burden in the province.

• The measures , focuses and targets are drawn from the strategic health programmes themselves. This therefore serves as a catalyst to unify quality service delivery at household level.
