5th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCEOF APPLIED LINGUISTICS
IN LITHUANIA
LANGUAGES AND PEOPLE: COMMUNICATION
IN A MULTILINGUAL WORLD
26–28 September 2019

Submissions are invited for the following contributions: full paper presentations: 30 minutes (20 minutes + 10 minutes for questions); poster presentations; thematic workshops (short: 1.5 hours with 3 presenters; long: 3 hours with 5-6 presenters).
The length of abstracts for full paper presentations and poster presentation is 300–500 words (excluding references). Workshop convenors are invited to submit a description of the workshop (500–700 words, excluding references) and a list of confirmed workshop presenters. Workshop convenors are responsible for selecting presenters and planning slots in their workshop.
Important dates: deadline for the submission of workshop proposals: 17 March 2019 deadline for abstract submission (full paper presentations and posters): 31 March 2019 notification of acceptance: 1 June 2019 early-bird registration: 1 June – 30 June 2019 registration closes: 31 August 2019
Abstracts should be submitted through the conference website at: http://www.taikomojikalbotyra.flf.vu.lt/en/registration/
Registration and fees: regular registration for presenters: 120 euros early-bird registration for presenters: 100 euros doctoral / MA students and LITAKA members: 90 euros early-bird registration for doctoral / MA students and LITAKA members: 50 euros non-presenting participants who wish to obtain a certificate: 10 euros
Publication Accepted abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings booklet with an ISBN
number.
Conference participants will be invited to submit their research papers based on conference
presentations for publication in the special edition of the electronic journal Taikomoji
kalbotyra (Applied Linguistics) that will be issued in 2020. Submission deadline: 31
December 2019.
All submitted manuscripts will undergo peer-review procedures applied by the journal.
