Early LifeLatif Mohammed was born on November 16, 1951 in a Village named Jalal in Bhatinda, Punjab. His Father was also a singer Called Nikka Khan. Later on in his life he changed his religion to sikhism and changed his name to kuldeep manak.

Started SingingHe started singing at the really early age of 17 years in 1968.He moved to Ludhiana to start his career. He started singing with a popular Duo of that time called Harcharan Grewal and Seema. When he went to Delhi a Records Label offered him a song and he sang it and got successful. He used a old instrument called tumbi in all his songs.

Family He got married to a women called sarabjeet and they became parents of two children. His sons name is Yudhvir Manak and her daughters name is Shakti. His Son Yudhvir Manak is also a singer but he isn’t as famous as his dad. He has two brothers, Siddiqui who is a well known devotional singer.

Importance to punjabi Culture

He is Important to Punjabi culture due to his Songs and kali’s related with punjab’s history like his song Mirza Sahiba which was one of his Hits. He also sang songs about the sikh history such as his song banda singh bahadur. Kali’s are songs with really Long heks.

DiedHe died on November 30,2011 in Ludhiana,Punjab with a heart attack while asleep. He died at the age of 62 years. There were a lot of popular people at his funeral like all the punjabi singer’s and Badal the CM of punjab.

Extra InformationAfter a year after his death all the famous punjabi singer made a tribute song for him. Jazzy B treated kuldeep manak as his ustad(Teacher) and kuldeep manak treated him like his son.
