Our business is mainly operated by Chad and Trina Luke. We can cater any size of group from 50-400 people. With many years of doing small catering jobs and providing great food we have received positive feedback from our customers, we are committed to our small family business. Trina and I do all the jobs needed to run the business, cook, clean, take food orders, order supplies prior to the event, and we’ll even meet and greet the crowd as they stop by to smell and to try to get a glimpse of what will be serving unless they have requested a specific meal. Several recent additions have enhanced visitor experience. These include the new Legacy Hall -- an 1800 square foot open air, roofed, gathering place available for weddings, reunions, and other public and private functions and built by youth from the –akisqnuk First Nation -- and the addition of two children's playgrounds. In June 2018, the official opening of an interpretative trail took place, which is open to the public.
The Lakeshore Resort and Campground contributes to the tourism economy of –akisqnuk First Nation and the Columbia Valley. Its’ mission is to support the well-being and economic self-reliance of –akisqnuk First Nation members through sustainable employment. In 2018 the campground employed 10 people, 8 of whom are –akisqnuk First Nation community members.
Lakeshore Resort and Campground is an active stakeholder of the Indigenous Tourism BC, along with membership in the Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce, and Radium Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce. In 2015 Lakeshore Resort and Campground was honoured to receive from BC Aboriginal Business Awards, the Outstanding Achievement
