Some of the major activities that takes place as part of student activities are as below:

Since then the newsletter has had four issues and has received accolades from multiple quarters for reinventing itself every time.

Entrepreneurial Venture

Entrepreneurship Club took up an initiative to start a “Green Café” within the premises. It would be a store made up of recyclable materials that would cater to the daily necessities (such as mobile recharge vouchers and stationary) of the students. It has successfully organized large “Entrepreneurship Haats” which saw participation from several reputed brands along with students donning their entrepreneurial caps.

National Service Scheme (NSS)

KSOM NSS wing was started during the Youth Week of 12-19 January, 2011 to usher the students on a path of social service and community development activities. The members and various participating students enjoyed the various competitions to celebrate the spirit of service. The members also interacted with the tribal students of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) and visited the neighboring slums to understand their problems and provide suggestions. Since then NSS has continuously strived to bring issues of social relevance to the forefront through various creative means.

Clubs include Finance, HR, IT & Technology, Marketing, Alumni, Cultural, Entrepreneurship and Literature clubs. Special interest groups are Journal, Photography, Videography & Animation, Sports and Music.

Placement

The Placement Committee comprises of a group of faculty members, ably supported by the representatives of the Student Placement Committee. To keep the entire process transparent, most major decisions are taken in consultation with the students.

The preparation for placements takes place much ahead of the placement season. This begins with the soft skill training where all the students are evaluated and individually assessed by competent trainers. Students are guided to work on their areas of improvement. They also get ample inputs to improve their performance before the placement season begins.

The Placement department communicates regularly about the job opportunities from the companies willing to visit the campus. The companies spell out the recruitment process, after which the program is fine-tuned according to the requirements. The institute provides essential support to facilitate on-campus placement process of companies. This usually involves activities like sorting the resumes, collection of appropriate data, providing infrastructural facilities for conducting evaluation activities such as written exam, group discussion and personal interview (in person or through video/tele conferencing).
