Christmas is a very special time that brings everyone together near and far. With the New Year beginning right around the corner we must talk about some upcoming things that will quickly be approaching! Nominating 2016-2017 District Officers: I hope you will consider yourself and encourage others in holding a position within our District Administrative Council. The Nominating Committee is looking for candidates for Governor-Elect, Secretary and Treasurer. All of the positions are one Pilot year term. Excellent training will be provided at the Pilot International Convention and Leadership Conference & Council of Leaders held in Montreal, Canada in July 2016. If you have any questions about becoming a District Officer, please do not hesitate to contact our District Nominating Committee Chair Shilo Heger or myself and we will be glad to answer any questions you may have. District Nomination Forms are on the KS-MO District Website. Nominating 2016-2017 Club Officers: All of your clubs will begin searching for new leaders to take over for the upcoming Pilot year in July. Please consider holding an office within your club and taking that next step to help advance your club into the future. KS-MO District Convention: Our District Convention is just a few months away on the last day of April! Please make sure to mark your calendars to attend our Convention in Topeka at the Capital Plaza Hotel on Saturday April 30th! We will be having a one day Convention with a welcome party starting on Friday night. The DAC and Convention Committee will be headed to Topeka in January to begin finalizing arrangements for Convention! We will have more information and details to you in the next bulletin! KS-MO District Awards: Information will be sent out to Club President's in January regarding all of the information on the Awards and how to submit to our Awards Jury. Awards are given out at District Convention. New Members: We still have plenty of funds in our new member initiative program! So please refer friends, family, co-workers and neighbors to join our wonderful organization! If you have new members sign-up, please send an email to Melanie and Debbie to let them know the forms are on the way! Thank you again to everyone that has been submitting pictures and information to be published in the Governor's Bulletin each month. We love seeing your clubs in action! Thank you as well to our dedicated Bulletin Editor Nancy Crawford - we truly appreciate all of the hard work you do each month to get the bulletins put together! Happy New Year to All!

excited and proud to be part of the opening
of Autism Avenue Flower and Gift Shop.
The shop will serve as a training ground
for high functioning adults with autism. The
fortunate trainees will be given individualized

some of the barriers they face in obtaining
meaningful employment. The flower shop will be
a place to practice what they have learned.
Prairie Pilot has submitted a matching grant
proposal to PI for $2000 worth of books and
materials related to autism. The books will be
appropriate for family members, employers,

Sunflower Pilot Club
On November 30, 2015 several members of Sunflower Pilot Club decorated the lobby of No Stone Unturned for Christmas. No Stone Unturned is a therapeutic learning center that specializes in pediatric outpatient services for children. No Stone helps children achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
Sunflower Pilot Club held their annual Christmas Party on Sunday, December 6th. Lasagna, salad, bread and wonderful deserts were enjoyed by all. We also had a white elephant gift exchange that produced some interesting gifts and some good laughs.
