Do not use this apparatus near water.

plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A
grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The
wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the

Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at
plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the
apparatus.
Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long

Turning off the power switch does not completely isolate this product
from the power line.
Keep the power plug easily accessible. Do not install this equipment far
from a power outlet and/or power strip.
Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required
when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-

The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within
an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to
the presence of uninsulated dangerous voltage
within the products enclosure that may be of
sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric

The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle
is intended to alert the user to the presence of
important operating and maintenance (servicing)
instructions in the literature accompanying theproduct.

Handling of the internal disk drive
Whenthisdeviceismovedtoalocationwherethetemperatureisradicallydifferent,waterdropletsmaycondenseontheinternaldiskdrive.Ifthedeviceisusedinthiscondition,itmaymalfunction,sopleaseallowseveralhourstopassbeforeoperatingthedevice.
Donotturnthepoweronandoffrepeatedly.ThismaydamagetheKRONOS.
Thisdevice
begins
to
access
the
internal
disk
drive
immediatelyafterthepoweristurnedon.
Neverturnoffthepowerwhiletheinternaldiskdriveisbeingaccessed.Doingsocancausedataonthedisktobelost,sothatthenexttimetheKRONOSisturnedon,itmayfailtostartupnormally.
Regarding the LCD screen
TheKRONOSLCDscreenisaprecisiondevice,andcarefulattentionhasbeenpaidtoitsproductquality.Althoughyoumaynoticesomeoftheissueslistedbelow,pleasebeawarethattheseareduetothecharacteristicsofLCDscreens,and

not
malfunctions. Theremaybepixelsinthescreenthatarealwaysdark
(unlit)oralwaysbright(lit).

Turning on the KRONOS

Insomecases,theKRONOSwillnotstartup
properlyif
certain
USB
devices
are
connected.
In
thiscase,disconnecttheUSBdevices,wait10seconds,andthenturnonthepoweragain.FormattingthedeviceontheKRONOSmaysolvetheproblem(seeFormattingmediaonpage 182oftheOG).
Turning off the KRONOS
WhenyouvefinishedworkingwiththeKRONOS,presstherearpanelPOWERswitchtoturnoffthe
power.Whenyouturnoffthepower,thePrograms,Combinations,Globalsettings,etc.willreverttotheiruneditedstate.Ifyouwanttokeepyouredits,youllneedtoWritethem.Formoreinformation,seeSavingyoureditsonpage 24.
