As per Krishnamurthi Padathi there are:

1. 12 signs in the zodiac

2. 27 nakshatras or asterisms or stars

3. 9 graha or planets who are lords of 3 nakshatras each

4. Each nakshatra covers a span of 13° 20' of the arc

5. Each nakshatra is divided into 9 unequal divisions and each

division is known as sub-lord (the details of which have been

given in part I and part II

6. These 9 sub lords are further divided SUB-SUBS.

THE SUB SUBS


The sub-sub lord needs a lot of research. Mr. M.P. Shanmugham from

Annur, Tamil Nadu, has written an article “The sub sub lord in K.P.

Astrology and its excellent four fold signification results” in K.P. &

Astrology of July 1990. He states the following:

“so every Bhava is under the influence of Sign Lord, Star lord and sub

lord. They are incharge of the Bhava to discharge the results of the

Bhava. Of late, the sub sublord is being probed and thought of in

addition to the star, sign and sub. It is now understood that the sub

sublord is also playing an important role in giving the result of theBhava.”

He further states that “sub sublord indicates possibility or not”.

In every system, some points or topics are left for research. We hope

that interested and serious students would take up such endeavours

and lead everyone to the path of light and understanding.
