THE STATE ELECTION COMMISSION INNOVATION…
Hon. State Election Commissioner, Maharashtra, Mrs. Satyanarayana decided to design and implement a suitable training program to empower these women.
The innovation was of a non residential training programme taken to the doorsteps of EWRs, not only as a corrective measure for fulfilment of the constitutional mandate of free and fair elections but also to empower these women and set them as future role models.
The Project was named as KRANTIJYOTI after Late Smt. Savitribai Phule, paying a tribute to her
