TESTED SOLUTIONSOur product range offers a great manyalternatives tested and ready for variousapplications. The final choice of the boarddepends on the properties required but is
also influenced by the appearance of theboard, previous practical experience andpersonal preferences.
Our product development unit can simulatefuture operating conditions for the boardand test the suitability of different solutionswith testing equipment specially designedfor such purposes. Among the most commontest criteria are strength properties andmechanical properties such as resistanceagainst abrasion, weather, and impact.
The basic plywood produced by Koskisen isprimarily made from high quality birch as itis an exceptionally strong and homogeneousmaterial. Over 80 % of the plywood producedis coated with different film and plasticcoatings, providing finished, easy to care forsurfaces with high wear resistance. Floor boardcoatings are often imprinted with anti-slippatterns.
MADE-TO-MEASUREThe boards are accurately cut to the sizesrequired by the customer and supplied eitheras squared edged panels, or more often today
as pre-machined panels with tongues andgrooves, edge profiles, routing or drill holesto facilitate a simple and fast installation.
The new, efficient lines produce customisedtailor-made products speedily and reliably tomeet the demands of the transport,construction, furniture and packagingindustries. Koskisen’s birch plywoods are muchin demand worldwide for a multitude ofapplications including vehicle floors, sidewallsand doors, system formwork, staging, dieboards, and furniture.
Wood at its best
KoskiStandardStrong and tough birch plywood produced from cross-banded 1.5 mm veneers. Usedas the base board for upgraded products. All-purpose plywood for demandingapplications.
KoskiCaratA phenolic film faced birch plywood with a raised pattern consisting of thousands ofsmall diamond shapes. The raised pattern very effectively distributes point loads thusreducing the pressure on the face veneer and allowing it to bear heavier point loads.
KoskiCrownBirch plywood coated with a phenolic film. The raised slip resistant crown patternmaintains its anti-slip properties under a wide range of climatic conditions.
KoskiDeckA brown phenolic film faced birch plywood. The surface is hot pressed with a slipresistant wire mesh pattern. Suitable for technical flooring solutions and scaffolding.
KoskiDecorBoth sides of the board coated with a coloured translucent phenolic film that leavesthe wood grain visible. Plywood board with improved face and core veneers.
