Project Proposals 6. Joint Use of Water Resources in Imnam Dam and Peace Dam in Bukhan River Region
• If North Korea releases water from Imnam Dam into South Korea, South Ko-rea offers compensation to North Korea under the concept of “water trade”.
• The compensation can include economic aid, electrical power transmission, and an establishment of a thermal power plant.
• By transforming the Imnam Dam and the Peace Dam into a multi-purpose dam, the two Koreas can jointly use water and electricity produced from the dam.
