Korea Bundy Corp. was founded by SeAH Steel Corp. (formerly Busan Pipe),its parent company, in March 1979 through technical affiliation and jointventure with Bundy of Australia, US and Japan. Over the years, Korea Bundy, based on the industrial advancement in Korea, has grown into a professionalmaker of small diameter tubes for automobiles and home appliances.
The copper brazed double-wall steel tube, our main product created througha unique manufacturing method, displays outstanding pressure resistanceand excellent mechanical properties. Therefore it is used as a cycle-relatedtube in cooling products as well as in brake and fuel lines of automobiles.
We take pride that this is the most important part for top performance andsafety in household appliances and automobiles. Due to our focus on qualitymanufacturing, we obtained ISO/TS 16949 certifications in January 2006.
To enhance corrosion resistance, we are independently developing a varietyof surface treatment technologies. Recently, we also succeeded incommercializing trivalent chrome, an environmental-friendly product, andare manufacturing high-end products through the PA12 coating process. These are just some of the many ways we are responding to variousdemands from our customers.
To satisfy increasing demands and diversify products, we are advancing as aglobal company by establishing plants not only in Korea, but also incountries abroad, such as the US, China, Thailand, New Zealand and Mexico. Korea Bundy will continue to exert effort in the coming days to be an activecompany that contributes to the development of our society throughadvanced technology based on precision and powered by our creative andprogressive human force.
Thank you.

The fabrication process of theBundy tube uses a variety ofmodern equipment. In particular, the manufacturing of single-wallsteel tubes utilizes a welding heatcontrol system developed throughacademic-industrial collaboration inorder to maintain even bead qualityduring the welding process.
The electric welded tubes of Bundy are the most diverse small-diameter tubes in fields using single-wall
welded tubes. With excellent workability, fatigue strength, precision and cleanliness, the electric welded
tubes of Bundy maintain high quality at low cost.

Electric zinc plating and chromate treatment on the outer surface of single- or double-wallsteel tubes are applied to products that are exposed to severely corrosive environments (ex. :brake lines in automobiles and evaporators in refrigerators)
For PVF(Poly Vinyl Fluoride) coating, a resin coating is applied after electric zinc galvanizingand chromate treatment.
The first zinc layer is a protective layer for corrosion resistance on tube surfaces. The secondchromate layer prevents white rust formation in the zinc layer and maintains cohesion withthe PVF. The third layer is a PVF treatment to protect corrosion of the chromate layer.
The double PVF coating product of Korea Bundy created using independently developedtechnology successfully can withstand 6,000 hours of the saline water spray test.
The recently developed primer coating technology is administered after chromate treatment. This technology has been developed to increase corrosion resistance. Furthermore, byapplying Cr3+ (trivalent) chromate, Korea Bundy is responding to environmental regulations asrequired by advanced countries.

Stainless steel pipes of Korea Bundy are mainly used in the EGR ofautomobiles and heavy equipments. EGR (exhaust gas re-circulation)prevents emission of harmful gas by sending exhaust gas generated by theengine back to the engine before it is discharged into the air. Also, thestainless steel pipes absorb vibrations generated from the engine andprovide outstanding workability during assembly, EGR is produced withindependently developed bellows in a multi-type facility. Recently, KoreaBundy is promoting the development of high-pressure pipes for use in GDI(gasoline direct injector) engines, which are a substantial improvementover the conventional fuel injection system used by gasoline vehicles.
