FP7 Calls

• FP7 is implemented through periodic Calls for Proposals:– average two Calls per year

• Calls are very competitive: – only the best proposals are selected (Call 1 – ICT priority:

1836 proposals submitted, approx. €6.9 bn requested; 318 proposals retained, approx. €1.2 bn funding

• Proposals evaluated by independent experts on clear criteria:– scientific and/or technological excellence (relevant to the

topics addressed by the Call)– Quality and efficiency of the implementation and the

management– Potential impact through the development, dissemination

and use of project results
