Statistics suggest that 6 km/h is the most frequently uesd speed of treadmills, and medical researches have shown that walking is enough to gain the effect of exercise.

Prevention, American Medical Journal writes that during the one-hour walk, the body undergoes a series of positive physiological changes:

1-5 minutes,the blood flow increases, the muscles warm up, the joint stiffness weakens (because of the releasing of lubricating fluid), and the calories burned are 5 times than sitting.

5-10 minutes, more blood and oxygen are sent to the muscles.

11-20 minutes,the levels of adrenaline and glucagon secreted, which better delivers energy to the muscles.

21-45 minutes, people would feel energetic and the brain releases endorphins, which helps people relax, decreases insulin secretion, benefits obese and abetic patients.
