HAB stands for Happiness Architecture Beauty — these are the values we hold
dear. We were set up by Kevin McCloud in 2007 to challenge the way identikit
volume housing was built in the UK. the homes and places we build respect the
local context and biodiversity; are strongly rooted in history, landscape and the
community; and are sustainable, beautiful and a pleasure to live in.
At Lovedon Fields we’ve been able to deliver everything we could hope for;
with a wide range of delightful homes nestled by the local park, which we’re
doubling in size and packing full of stuff for both our new residents and the
existing community.
With new allotments, play areas and a lovely wildflower meadow interwoven
with a network of paths and running tracks, there’s something for everyone.

Working with the wonderful John Pardey Architects, all the
homes at Lovedon Fields showcase HAB’s favourite design
features: high ceilings and an abundance of glazing. Full of
character, different house styles also have their own attributes
including library nooks and split-level ground floors. Many
homes benefit from rooftop terraces giving you the perfect
place for a party looking out over the park.
All the homes at Lovedon Fields will benefit from highly
energy efficent timber frame building systems and will also
generate a large proportion of their own electricity from
sunlight, using the solar PV panels on the roof. Both of these
will result in significantly lower running costs, and the homes
themselves are just part of the wider approach to low energy
use across the scheme. there will also be a shared car club on
site - for the use of everyone at Lovedon Fields and the wider
community - which can reduce the hassle and cost of multiple
car ownership.
