Austin ISD Kindergarten 2015 Kindergarten Pretend and Learn Lesson Unit: Weather Pretend and Learn Theme: News and/or Weather Station Implementing the Pretend and Learn Lesson in the Kindergarten Classroom Create a weather station and model how to use it. Show students how reporters/meteorologists predict and report the weather. Utilizing self-made instruments, hands-on experiments, and plenty of literacy, the weather station inspires the young meteorologists. Invite a local meteorologist or show clips of local newscaster reporting the news and the weather.
