Discuss what month each season falls in, what events occur during that month and how the temperature changes during each season. Ask them about that type of activities they might do during each season.

Number of School Days
Use the next page to count days by focusing on one's, ten's and hundreds. You might also want to set up a number line in the classroom. Use sentence strip paper (or any long paper). Choose a good space on the wall to begin a number line. There should be room to go to at least 100. Write the number 0 on the paper. On the first day of school write the number 1. Each day after that the children will write the next number on the strip. You might want to alternate the color of strips to make a pattern and highlight groups of ten.
Set the large thermometer fortoday's temperature. Discuss thecolor and terminology for thatpoint. Move the cloner color tothat day's thermometer to record,At end of week discuss how manycold, warm, etc. days we had thatweek.
