The Presents GRAND PRIZE WINNER REBEKA KIM CENTRAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Lisa Lockwood’s 6th grade class Rebeka Kim doesn’t know where she will attend school next year, but she does know what she wants to do when she grows up. “I want to be a homicide detective,” said this year’s winner of the Ferndale Record’s Design an Ad contest. The Central Elementary School 6th grader in Lisa Lockwood’s class won the top prize for her creative effort on behalf of Data Link West Com- puter Services. But, she said, she doesn’t really consider herself an artist. Her inter- ests actually lie more in science and math, and in cooking and baking in her spare time, when she isn’t spending time with friends. The hardest part about creating the ad, Rebeka said, was thinking up a good slogan that rhymed.
