Aquifers: It's not just dirt! Learn the basics of hydrogeology and how aquifers affect the water you drink with a fun food experiment. In partnership with the University of MD Extension. Ages 6-11.

Art Studio: From Concerto to Canvas: From Fantasia to Kandinsky, artists have used music to inspire their artistic styles for centuries. Discover how different rhythms & sounds can inspire you to create a masterpiece. Ages 8-11.

Baby Steps: A lively combination of music, rhymes, activities, and stories for one-year-olds with a caregiver. “Stay and Play” afterwards.

Black Belt Basics: Practice martial arts drills and exercises with experts from Impact or Central Movement ATA Martial Arts. Ages 5-11.

Coding with MaKey MaKey: Use everyday objects to create a computer touchpad, game controller, or musical instrument using MaKey MaKey invention kits. Ages 7-11.

Didgeridoo Down Under: A high-energy fusion of Australian music, culture, comedy, and storytelling. Ages 5-11.

Digging for Dinos: Be a paleontologist for the day and dig into the prehistoric past of dinosaurs with the DE Museum of Natural History. Ages 2-6.

Ferrets and Friends: Learn about and meet amazing LIVE animals in this interactive show. Ages 5-11.

Franklin Institute Presents: Sound, Music, and Math: Discover the science behind making

music while exploring sound vibrations and your sense of hearing. Ages 5-11.

Hello Baby: A gentle introduction to language and literature using a blend of music, rhymes, lap bounces and stories for pre-walking babies with a caregiver.

Hip-Hop Dance Party: Get into the hip-hop groove with a dance lesson and special performance by Cecil Dancenter. Ages 5-11.

Learn, Listen, Play: African Drums: Learn about African drumming, play an authentic African djembe, and be part of a traditional African dance circle. Ages 6-11.

Learn, Listen, Play: Silly Sounds: Explore and make music! Learn to play a theremin, an Australian didgeridoo, and more. Ages 3-5.

LEGO Challenge: Island Disaster: Use LEGO bricks and your imagination to build a deserted island to withstand a variety of disastrous challenges. Ages 6-11.

Let’s Move! Get up and move with interactive stories and songs. Walking toddlers to age 3 1/2 with a caregiver.

Live Animal Encounter: Ssslither into summer reading with stories and fun facts. Presented by the Brandywine Zoo. Ages 4-11.

Mike Rose’s Magic & Music & Stuff! Impossible magic tricks and off-the-wall comedy themed around music, sound, and noise. Ages 6-11.

Movers & Groovers: A dynamic class filled with music, rhymes, stories, and movement activities for children ages 2-3.5 with a caregiver. “Stay and Play” afterwards.

On My Own: A theme-based class where children ages 3.5 to 5 explore their world

through stories, songs, and learning activities. Children attend independently, and then caregivers join children at the end for a craft.

Preschool Music: Three Little Pigs on Percussion: Explore musical instruments and the sounds they make during a dramatic reading of this favorite storytime classic. Ages 3.5-5.

Rock Discovery: Explore rocks of all shapes and sizes in this geology-themed playtime emphasizing pre-literacy games, activities, and toys. Families with children ages 2-5.

Seashell Investigation: Learn how seashells are formed, and discover the amazing sea creatures that depend on them for survival. Investigate real seashells, and register for summer reading. Ages 4-11.

Starlight StoryTime: A special evening storytime with fingerplays, songs, stories, and a craft. Pajamas encouraged. Families with children ages 3 - 5.

Storydays and Fingerplays: A thematic program of stories, fingerplays, songs, and crafts. For walkers through age 5.
