FCCLA (Family, Career & Community Leaders of America
FCCLA is a national student organization that promotes personal growth and also addresses important personal, family, work, and social issues through family and consumer science education. FCCLA offers members opportunities to expand their leadership potential and develop skills for life. Any student interested in Human Services, Education and Training, Fashion, Interior Design, or Hospitality and Tourism are strongly encouraged to become involved.
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is a non-denominational Christian group of students, both athletes and non-athletes, who meet bi-monthly on Monday nights in the Lecture Hall. Each meeting is full of fun, fellowship, singing, and snacks. All KHS students interested in participating are welcome. Students who want to attend may just show up at the meetings.

2705 The KHS German Club is one of the most active clubs on our campus. We welcome any student who is interested in the German language and culture, whether presently or previously enrolled in German classes. The club hosts one event or outing per month such as attending a musical, play, German opera, movie, or concert. We may dine at a German restaurant, visit Fredericksburg, or plan a student exchange. We also celebrate German holidays and festivals such as Weihnachten, Oktoberfest, and Fasching.

HOSA is a national student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education (HSE) Division of ACTE. The mission of HOSA is to enhance the delivery of compassionate, quality health care by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill and leadership development of all health science education students, therefore, helping the student meet the needs of the health care community.
Keller ISD schools have joined together to form an ice hockey club. Our governing organization is ATT Metroplex High School Hockey (http://www.atthighschoolhockeyleague.com/ ). Please refer to the website for the official rules and eligibility. Keller Hockey has 3 teams (a Junior Varsity and 2 levels of Varsity teams). We generally hold tryouts in early August and our twice weekly practices begin in September. Games run weekly late September – March. This is not a UIL sanctioned sport and there is no athletic credit nor funding through the schools. Players must pay for their own equipment, uniforms and fees. Experience of at least 1
Indian Improv meets regularly to provide members with an opportunity to participate in improvisation as well as perform for a live audience. Improv training empowers students to create their own theatre and nourishes their communication skills through improvisational theatre workshops and performances. It encourages their individuality and provides the forum to succeed or fail in a safe environment that combines showmanship and sportsmanship. Improv shows are fun, fast-paced comedy show that's great for the whole family.
2606 The Indian Photography Club explores the connection between the eye, the camera, and the spirit by fostering and encouraging growth of artistic vision and technical knowledge. The club provides an informal, friendly, and supportive environment for photographers at all levels of ability and with interest in all types of photographic imagery.

Indianettes is a precision dance team that performs at athletic and community events and competitions. It is a full year program. Drill team aids each individual in developing dance skills, self-discipline, dependability, responsibility, maturity and strong citizenship skills. Each individual will be expected to set high goals and have a strong feeling of commitment and dedication to this organization.
Interact is a high school service club sponsored by the Keller Rotary Club. The name “Interact” comes from “International Action.” The Keller Interact Club participates in a variety of community service activities, such as assisting at Keller Parks and Recreation events, Community Storehouse events, and school carnivals. At least one service activity per year must promote international understanding. Club meetings are held on the second and fourth Thursday of each month after school in the library

CHS Air Force Junior ROTC (AFJROTC) is a 4 year program offered to high school students in grades 9-12. The curriculum includes Aerospace Science (AS), Leadership Education (LE) and Wellness (Physical Fitness). All students will be given academic credit towards graduation for successful completion of the AFJROTC courses provided by the Air Force equivalent to credit given for other academic courses per the Air Force School Agreement. Each academic course must consist of an AS component, an LE component, and a Wellness component. Students are bussed to the host campus at Central High School.

Muslim Student Association
Deborah Garoui [email protected] 2706 MSA aims to provide and environment where Muslims at KHS can practice their faith and also be good students. MSA plans to teach other non-Muslim students about what Islam really is and take part in community service.
The Keller High School Chapter of the National Honor Society is sponsored by the National Association of Secondary School Principals. New members are inducted each April after the first semester grades have been submitted for consideration. The purpose of this organization shall be to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in its members.
Natural Helpers is a peer assistance organization encompassing students from all areas of the school population. Participants are chosen from a school-wide survey that is conducted at the beginning of each school year. The main functions of Natural Helpers are to be available to assist students with non-emergency type problems or concerns and to be involved in the school and community service activities.
The purpose of this organization is to counteract the negative messages that teens receive from the media and society. We also want to promote positive body image, self-confidence, and to show the power of kindness. Girls know that they are never alone.

1306 We welcome all 9-12 grade fans of the game of “muggle” Quidditch based upon the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling. We are organized into four “house” teams that play a non-magical version of the game from the beloved books and movies. We welcome any student who would wish to join us and play the game first adapted by Middlebury College students in Vermont in 2006.
The Keller ISD Rodeo Team/Club is organized under the Western Heritage Foundation of North Texas and serves students in all Keller High Schools. All level of experience interested in western sports are welcome to join.

The club promotes Hispanic culture by encouraging participation in Hispanic-related activities such as dining at Hispanic restaurants, celebrating Hispanic holidays, and taking field trips.
Spear-It Crew is a group of juniors and seniors who are full of school spirit and pride. They perform at pep rallies, run the flags, and do push-ups at football games. Their job is to promote and model school spirit.
2706 The forensics program at Keller High School is made up of students in Public Speaking, Intro to Speech, Debate, and Oral Interpretation classes, as well as many students enrolled in the school but not in a speech class. Practical training in self-motivation, responsibility, and professionalism, are additional benefits of this organization.
The student training staff is composed of students interested in a medical career, and wants to be more involved with school activities and spirit. The purpose of this organization is to provide the highest level of medical coverage to all sports and encourage personal growth, academic excellence, leadership, and fun.
Student Council is a student-run governmental body made up of both elected and non-elected members. Elections for Student Council are held in the spring term of every year for Student Body Officers and Class Officers. Non-elected members apply for at-large membership with recommendation from fellow students and teachers.

1602 TAFE offers students the opportunity to explore the teaching profession through service projects, volunteer programs, activities, and competitions. Students automatically become members of FEA (Future Educators Association).
1614 Tennis is an extracurricular U.I.L. sport that meets in the fall and spring. The class functions on both the Junior Varsity and Varsity levels. On the Junior Varsity level the emphasis is placed on hand-eye coordination, and strengthening the fundamentals. On the Varsity level the emphasis is placed on technique, fine-tuning, and competitive play. Some playing experience is necessary and head coach’s approval is required prior to enrolling.
International Thespian Society, is the world’s largest honor society recognizing excellence and achievement in high school theatre students. The society’s guiding principle is
excellence in theatre, and honors those students who have demonstrated such excellence. Induction as a Thespian is the first of many honors that troupes may bestow on a student.

The Keller High School U.I.L. Academic team consists of students in various academic areas competing for the University Interscholastic League titles. Academic areas include Speech, Debate, Journalism, Computer Applications, Accounting, Computer Science, Ready Writing, Literary Criticism, Science, Mathematics, Calculator, Number Sense, Spelling, Social Studies, Current Events and the One-Act Play. Students compete at the district level with the ability to advance through regionals and on to state. KHS has had students compete on the state level in numerous events.

1111 The Wigwam is the school newspaper. It is published eight times during the school year. It is a project of the Journalism and Newspaper classes. Journalism is the prerequisite class, unless students have at least a B average and the permission of the Journalism teacher to go on to the Newspaper class. All students are encouraged to submit artwork, creative writing, or letters to the editor.
2600 Yearbook is a full year course where the students plan and design the Chief yearbook. Students learn marketing, design, writing, photojournalism and desktop publishing. Students must make application
in the spring semester for the following year and the staff is selected from these applicants.

Students can become senators or congressmen and pass laws, they can be representatives to the United Nations, or they can participate in a courtroom experience as judges, attorneys or witnesses to a crime.
