Polished Concrete- The DefinitionBonded Abrasive Polished Concrete- The processing of the concrete surface through means of mechanical and chemical processes that uses a bonded abrasive medium and chemical densifier where each step is refined to its purest possible form on a microscopic level from one progressively finer abrasive to the next until the desired level of “polish” is achieved. The chemical densifier reacts with the calcium hydroxide in concrete to form a crystalline structure in the pores of the concrete by which hardening the surface of the concrete. Bonded abrasive polished concrete has the clarity of reflection when looking straight down overhead, a high gloss finish and the maximum durability the surface will allow. The clarity will depend on the final abrasive grit; polishing steps are multiple and finish with 800 grit.

Diamond Tooling Review
Metal Bond Tooling Diamond Chips set within metal Matrix When metal wears away from being dragged across
concrete it exposes diamonds. Diamonds slowly release themselves from the metal and create a “scratch” in the concrete as they are dragged.
Grit Sizes are available from16 grit to 400 Grit. The lower the number the larger the diamond chip.
