She gave a fascinating presentation on the history of the RMS Titanic and her voy- age along the Titanic’s path to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the ship’s sinking. On Monday, February 25th over 80 teachers from Mineral County were given training on the Lions Quest curriculum. “Lions Quest programs are comprehensive, positive youth development and prevention curricula that unite the home, school and community to cultivate capable and healthy young people of strong character. Lions Quest K-12 programs teach essential life skills that support character development, social and emotional learning, civic values, substance and violence pre- vention, and service-learning.” (http://www.lions-quest.org/) Members of the Keyser Lions Club provided financial and logistical support to this all day event.
