Note 3 tabs at the top for different types of
charts. Some recommend importing
the chart from Numbers, but you can add the data
from within Keynote.

Text Box Note: All objects will first arrive in the center of
the slide. Drag & Drop to where you want it on the slide.
To enter text, double-click in the box and start typing. Sometimes you are able to just start
typing without clicking in the box. Other times, you may need to highlight the word ‘Text’ for it to
delete before you start typing.
Note the difference between a Text Box and a Shape.
Both allow you to type in text but they are re-sized differently.

• Remember to scroll down the list to see all of your options.
• All shapes enter as a blue shape
but can be changed in
many ways in Format.
• All Shapes can become text
boxes.
Note the “PEN”. You can draw
with it.
Also, Some Shapes are
customizable. Ex. Star—more

How to Make This Shape:
A. Select Circle from Shape Toolbar (can use any shape)
B. Format (Paintbrush): Style tab—choose:
1. Fill — Choose ‘No Fill’
2. Border— Choose ‘Line’
A. New options appear:
1. Choose type of line from drop down box
2. Choose Color from color choices
3. Choose thickness of border in pts. (above is 6pts)
B. Move and resize to what you need it for.

Access your Photos and other media here.
Select ‘Choose’ if you need to go to Finder
because the media is stored elsewhere.
If replacing a Placeholder, click it to bring up media not the top
media button.
Remember to play with Borders in Format.
You have not only Line options but Picture Frame options.
Comment Is used if working
with others. Or,

might want to change something

If you have multiple lines in a Text Box that you want to come in separately. Once you choose the Animation make sure you change the delivery method.

Note: When playing the presentation the object stays out. If not in play mode, it will look like it returns.
Slide Transitions1. Highlight all slides to have same transition
from slide to slide.
2. In Animation Tab, select type of Build In
3. Bottom Right Blue Corner indicates slide has a transition.
4. Slides can be changed individually just highlight the slide you want to change.
Advanced Slide Transitions1. Magic Move - allows for one picture to
swap places with another
2. Move a Shape along a Line
