What is Powder Coa,ng?
• Powder coa-ng is a dry \nishing process that has become extremely popular since its introduc-on in North America over in the 1960s. Represen-ng over 15% of the total industrial \nishing market, powder is used on a wide array of products. More and more companies specify powder coa-ngs for a high-quality, durable \nish, allowing for maximized produc-on, improved ecciencies, and simpli\ed environmental compliance. Used as func-onal (protec-ve) and decora-ve \nishes, powder coa-ngs are available in an almost limitless range of colors and textures, and technological advancements have resulted in excellent performance proper-es.
How Powder Coa,ng Works
• INGREDIENTS: Powder coa-ngs are based on polymer resin systems, combined with cura-ves, pigments, leveling agents, ]ow modi\ers, and other addi-ves. These ingredients are melt mixed, cooled, and ground into a uniform powder similar to baking ]our.
• APPLICATION: A process called electrosta-c spray deposi-on (ESD) is typically used to achieve the applica-on of the powder coa-ng to a metal substrate. This applica-on method uses a spray gun, which applies an electrosta-c charge to the powder par-cles, which are then agracted to the grounded part.
• FINISHING: ABer applica-on of the powder coa-ng, the parts enter a curing oven where, with the addi-on of heat, the coa-ng chemically reacts to produce long molecular chains, resul-ng in high cross-link density. These molecular chains are very resistant to breakdown.

CLEANING & CARE
Aluminum
• Rinse away dirt and debris using a
garden hose. Never use high pressure
hoses • Deep clean with a few drops of mild
liquid detergent in warm bucket of
water. Gently wipe with lint-free rags.
Rinse with cold water. Apply cushions
aBer thoroughly dry.• To protect \nish, avoid abrasive
chemicals or products containing
ammonia, bleach, citrus addi-ves.• Rinse oV once a week and remove spills
immediately with dry cloth. Remove
scuVs with non-abrasive cleaner and
rinse.• Place dry furniture indoors or cover
with water-resistant covers aBer season
or before inclement weather to prolong
life of groups.
Resin Wicker: • To ease cleaning, spray with water
to loosen and remove dirt &
debris. • Lightly scrub with soB bristle
brush with warm water & a few
drops of mild detergent added.
Use soB toothbrush to reach in
between weaves and other
cervices.• To remove any mold or mildew,
add ¼ cup of white vinegar to the
soapy solu-on and scrubbing
gently. For stubborn stains use a
commercial mildew remover.
Rinse thoroughly.• Use water-resistant cover to

Fire Pits
• Before cleaning, ensure \re pit is
cool to prevent burns. Make sure
control valve is oV before shunng
down gas.• Remove foreign debris. • Contact cer-\ed gas service
technician to convert to natural gas
or if no func-oning properly. • Clean with mild detergent and
warm water. Rinse and dry
completely. Clean spills with damp
rag to prevent buildup or residue.• When not in use, cover with
burner cover and weather cover.
NUVELLA™ OUTDOOR FABRIC
Nuvella is a brand of outdoor fabric made
exclusively for Ashley Furniture. It is
constructed of solu-on dyed polyester that
will yield high performance against stains,
colorfastness to light and increased abrasion
resistance.
In the solu-on dye process, dye is added to
the molten polymer and extruded into colored
\bers. This results into a 100% penetra-on of
color into the \bers.

worry about a stain or fading issue.
Cleaning & Care
• Nuvella won’t promote mildew, but other
substance can. Clean food and drink spill
promptly. Remove moisture with dry cloth, use
dishwasher liquid to remove oil based stains.
Rinse and dry.• For mold and mildew, apply solu-on of one cup
bleach per one gallon of water and a few drops
of mild soap directly to spots with sponge or
damp cloth. Rinse and air dry.• If cushions are soaked from downpour, speed
drying -me by standing cushions on one side.
Never dry in machine dryer.• Sore or cover cushions during inclement
weather or if unused for prolonged -mes.
Make sure cushions are dry prior to storage.
