Gain an understanding of leadership as a concept and
practice, and increase the belief that service as a leader is
important; Create comfort and desire to seek out leadership
opportunities as a means of contributing to the community;
Learn about personal leadership styles and how to maximize
strengths while building greater capacity with challenging
skills; Explore the concept of community and foster a desire
to connect with other people; build confidence and
enjoyment for interacting with a diverse group of people;
Build capacity for creating balance in all areas of life; Develop
important leadership skills such as team-building,
interpersonal communication, and problem-solving. All of
these outcomes were "Achieved" according to assessments.

It is our expectation that students that fully engage in the
Senior Leaders Academy will be able to: Consider the
importance of continuing to evolve as a leader; Participate in
intense a dialogue session with an effective community
leader; Appreciate the timeless nature of values and
principles; Learn to value adaptive leadership styles as the
face the future; Reflect on what it means to lead in
community; Appreciate the leadership lessons from USF and
consider how they might give back to their university. Our
evaluations show that these outcomes have been achieved.

Center for Student Involvement leaders will have improved
understanding of event collaboration and the importance of
collaboration in the work they do. 70% of the students were
able to articulate in two ways why collaboration is important
and how they could collaborate on programs at the
