1) Find stem—e.g. age- 2) Add tense infix—”e” or “u” 3) Add endings

E.g. Ago, agis, agit…agunt.

N.B. We can tell it’s “third IO” because the first principal part has “iō” in it’s ending

1) Find stem--capi 2) Use tense infix—in this case just use

the theme vowel “i”+o for first person singular and u for third person plural

3) Add endings
