DISTRICT CONVENTION:
What is DCON?
DCON is short for
District Convention.
Each year, the Pacific
Northwest District gets
together to celebrate
the year of service,
elect the new district
executive board,
meet other Key
Clubbers (including
International VP Kevin
Zhang) in the area,
and learn about new
service opportunities.
Ask your club officers
or Lieutenant
Governor for more
information!

See what went down at last
year's DCON
Last year the convention took
place for the first time ever at
the Sheraton Hotel and the
Seattle Convention Center
located in the heart of
Downtown Seattle. The
Convention featured speakers
such as Redlight Traffic, Rustic
Pathways, and much more!
During DCON, the new
Executives were elected, the
Incoming LtGs were officially
installed, and the outgoing
Board Members were retired. All
of Seattle boomed with the
spirit of over 1,700 Key Clubbers
during the weekend. In the
end, it was Division 13/15/17
from Canada that won the spirit
stick during the Opening
Ceremony and Division 65 from
Oregon was awarded the spirit
stick during the awards
ceremony!
A huge thank you to the
wonderful
photographers, Bassel Hamieh
with BMH
Photography and Dave
McMillan from Kiwanis, who
helped capture our priceless
moments! Check out these
photos and if you're posting
your own, remember to add
#PNWDCON2014!

Why go to the convention?
Because it’s the biggest event of the Key Club year! Imagine celebrating the
amazing things Key Club does with more than 1,600 Key Clubbers from all
across the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.
If that isn’t enough, you’ll also have the opportunity to:
Share innovative service project and fundraising ideas.
Listen to amazing speakers.
Learn about servant leadership.
Train for your 2015–16 leadership position.
Elect next year’s Key Club International Board.
Celebrate 100 years of Kiwanis and its clubs (including Key Club!).
Hear about our success so far with The Eliminate Project—and how
you can help eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus.
Discover new charities and organizations you and your club can
team up with.
Have fun and make memories and friendships that last a lifetime.
