Kettering Health Network provides many different support

groups and services, from cancer support to caring for an

aging parent. We aim to provide comfort, education, and

resources to patients and their families. It makes a world

of difference to be with people who can relate to what you

are going through.

With nine hospitals and more than 60 facilities in nine

counties, you are never more than a few miles from a

Kettering Health Network facility. You don’t need to leave

the support of your family and friends to receive award-

winning care.

As a faith-based organization, we are dedicated to treating

all patients with love and respect regardless of religious

preference. Multi-denominational spiritual services are

offered at the network every day.

Kettering Health Network Cancer ResourcesKettering Cancer CareKettering Cancer Care offers a variety of services and

programs to meet your individual needs for information

and support. Our classes and meetings offer you an

opportunity to connect with other individuals who have

questions just like you. In addition, you’ll learn valuable

information about caring for yourself, connect with

resources to help meet your needs, and explore ways to

refresh your mind, body, and spirit.

Cancer Education and Support

Support groups provide comfort, education, and resources

to patients and their families. Learning about your cancer

can be overwhelming and you may have many questions.

Kettering Health Network has many educational and

support opportunities to help you with your cancer

journey.

In addition to support groups and education, the Kettering

Cancer Center also offers programs to refresh you during

your cancer journey. The following resources are provided

to patients when going through infusion therapy.

The Cindy Wilde Vogel Memorial library offers information

on women’s health for cancer patients. The library is

located at Kettering Breast Evaluation Center,

580 Lincoln Park, Suite 200.

Circle of Victory

The Circle of Victory Fund, part of Greene Medical

Foundation, provides financial help to cancer patients who

live in Greene County, OH. Since its inception, Circle of

Victory has helped hundreds of men, women, and children

across Greene County, not only helping to underwrite

cancer treatment, but also medication, wigs, prostheses,

and other financial burdens carried by cancer patients

and their families. If you or a loved one would like to learn

Women’s Wellness Fund

The Women’s Wellness Fund’s goal is to provide vital

and potentially lifesaving women’s cancer services to

underserved individuals in the greater Dayton area. If you,

or someone you know, do not have the financial resources

for a mammogram or prosthesis, you may qualify for

assistance. Please call Kettering Breast Evaluation Center

at (937) 299-0099 for qualification criteria. Requests are

strictly confidential.

Community Cancer ResourcesAmerican Cancer SocietyThe American Cancer Society funds and conducts cancer

research, shares expert information, supports patients,

and spreads the word about cancer prevention. The

American Cancer Society has programs and services

to help you manage cancer treatment and recovery

Health Fairs and ScreeningsCommunity Outreach offers health screenings at many

locations throughout the Miami Valley. These screenings

are performed by experts and designed to promote health

awareness at affordable rates for schools, churches, and

Speakers BureauKettering Health Network’s Speakers Bureau provides

informative health and wellness presentations for the

community, organizations, churches and other audiences.

Kettering Health Network Diabetes ResourcesKettering Health Diabetes & Nutrition CenterThe Kettering Health Diabetes & Nutrition Center

provides comprehensive and personalized diabetes self-

management education. Along with expert diabetes care,

the expert physicians also provide treatment for a wide

variety of other endocrinology diagnoses.

Diabetes Management

The Kettering Health Network Diabetes Center is staffed

with board-certified endocrinologists, physician assistants,

and nurse practitioners. These professionals’ expertise

is used to identify strategies that improve blood sugar

control and promote successful disease management. Our

YMCA Diabetes Prevention ProgramThis one-year community-based program is designed to

enable adults to make lifestyle changes that will improve

their overall health and reduce their risk of developing

type 2 diabetes. The program consists of weekly and

biweekly sessions during the first 6 months and monthly

sessions during the second 6 months. YMCA membership

Kettering Health Network Heart Care Resources Cardiac Wellness and RehabilitationCardiac Wellness and Rehabilitation is an important part

of the overall heart care program at Kettering Health

Network. It is a medically supervised, three-phase program

of exercise and education. The program provides the

heart patient with opportunities for safe and monitored

progression of exercise, guidance in returning to normal

activities, emotional support, and the development of

a healthy lifestyle for the future. For more information,

Center for Heart and Vascular Health This center provides a prevention-oriented approach to

reducing heart and vascular disease. Evaluations provide

heart and vascular disease risk detection and education

to help participants understand and modify risk factors to

Pharmaceutical Drop-off LocationsProperly disposing of any unused or unwanted

medications and prescriptions can prevent harm to others

from accidental exposure or intentional misuse, as well

Pulmonary Medicine of DaytonPulmonary Medicine of Dayton, Inc. provides Pulmonary,

Kettering Health Network Neurological ResourcesNeuroRehab & Balance CenterThe NeuroRehab & Balance Center treats the most

complex neurological and balance disorders with a

focus on improving patients’ function and quality of

life. NeuroRehab offers Occupational Therapy, Physical

Therapy, and Speech Therapy.

NeuroRehab & Balance Support

Support groups provide comfort, education, and resources

to patients and their families. Learning about your

diagnosis can be overwhelming and you may have many

questions. NeuroRehab & Balance has many support group

opportunities to help you with your journey.

The NeuroRehab & Balance Center team offers a

comprehensive approach to promote the best clinical

outcomes and to enhance the quality of life for every

person we treat. Other services offered by the NeuroRehab

& Balance Center include:

Driver Rehabilitation Program

Our driving rehabilitation program provides evaluation

and training for new and experienced drivers. All

instructors are occupational therapy practitioners who

are licensed disability driver training school instructors

who can help you get back to driving safely on the road.

Neurological Resources

To complete the driving evaluation, you must have a

Fit For Function Open Gym

The NeuroRehab & Balance Center offers a variety of

opportunities for patients to continue their exercise

programs far beyond completion of therapy. The Fit For

Function Open Gym is designed for participants who

can exercise in the gym somewhat independently. Our

staff help determine a customized program for you

and an exercise physiologist will be available. For more

Parkinson’s Fit Club

At NeuroRehab & Balance Center, we offer three levels

of Parkinson’s fitness classes to help you continue

and progress the benefits you achieved in rehab. Each

level of class focuses on posture, gait, freezing, rigidity,

balance, fatigue, and confidence. $15 per session or $90

for eight sessions. For more information or to register,

Reach for Function

The class focuses on repetitive use of your affected hand

or arm to teach the brain to “rewire” itself following a

major neurological injury such as a stroke or traumatic

brain injury. A series of repetitive, structured, practice-

intensive activities will help you work toward gaining

movement and coordination of your arm and hand.

lifestyle designed to meet your needs, including

Years Ahead Health CenterThe Years Ahead Health Center is designed to enrich

the lives of the people we serve by creating a healthy

environment for people age 55 and up. This unique,

22,000-square-foot health center located in Centerville,

community events that focus on a healthy lifestyle as you

Years Ahead Membership ProgramYears Ahead, Kettering Health Network’s senior

membership program, is available to anyone 50 years

of age and older for an annual fee of $10 per person.

Senior Resource ConnectionThe mission of Senior Resource Connection has been

Spiritual Care Resources

Kettering Health Network Spiritual Care ResourcesKettering Health Network Spiritual CareHospital visits can be a time of stress, anxiety, grief, and

fear. Kettering Health Network’s mission is to extend

compassion and demonstrate the healing love of God to

all our patients and their loved ones. As a faith-based

organization we are dedicated to treating all patients

with love and respect regardless of religious preference.

Our spiritual care staff offers a wide range of religious

knowledge and multi-denominational spiritual services

are offered at the network every day. If you’d like support

during your journey, you can ask your nurse to request a

Grief Support GroupThis support group, led by a Kettering Health Network

chaplain, helps those who have lost loved ones to share

and heal. Don’t be alone in your grief. We are. All are

Kettering Health Network Sports/Exercise ResourcesKettering Health Sports MedicineKettering Health Network is committed to not only

improving the health of athletes but caring about the

well-being of the Greater Dayton community as a whole.

The mission of our staff at Kettering Health Network is to

provide complete satisfaction for our clients’ health

and wellness.

FITT for Life

The purpose of the FITT for Life program is to ease the

challenges of everyday living. This program focuses on

strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility for seniors,

including those with orthopedic and neuromuscular issues.

The class meets two times a week for six weeks, with an

optional third day. $60 for Years Ahead Members, $70 for

Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga invites you to emerge from the “flight

or fight” response of day-to-day life, rest deeply, heal, and

rejuvenate. Suitable for those with chronic illness or injury,

cancer survivors and caregivers, and anyone needing more

rest in their lives. Please bring two throw pillows, a firm

blanket, a yoga mat, and an eye pillow. This class meets

for six weeks and class size is limited. $35 Years Ahead

Tai Chi/Chi Gong

Tai chi, a Chinese form of exercise, promotes physical health

through slow, even movements and breathing exercises.

This 10-week program is designed to increase flexibility,

This back- and joint-friendly class eases chronic pain,

who are having a difficult time adjusting to motherhood
