On TV and other types of media people mainly see Eastern Kentucky and then immediately judge all of Kentucky and Kentuckians based on what theyve seen.

Stereotype #1:We are all uneducated and cantbe successful.

Truth #1: We are very educated and can succeed. In fact,many successful people have come from Kentucky.

Stereotype #2: We all have thick southern accents

Truth #2:Most of us dont have an accent.

Stereotype #3: Were all hicks that live out in the country.

Truth #3:Not everyone in Kentucky live in the country, many lives in cities and suburbs just like any other state.
