Congratulations to all award recipients and award nominees. For a full list of recipients, go to page 7. Five hundred and twenty one students graduated May 21 when Kennebec Valley Com- munity College (KVCC) held its 41st Commencement Exer- cises at the Augusta Civic Center. The graduating class was the largest in the College’s his- tory, with students from 24 programs marching before a capacity crowd. Speaking to the assembly, KVCC Student of the Year Elizabeth Bickford congratu- lated her fellow graduates on a job well done. “We faced the challenges set before us and we overcame them,” Bickford said. “KVCC gave us the opportunity to learn a great deal from our classes, but perhaps more im- portantly we learned about ourselves.
