Tonal contrast test / This tests every isolated color of the

palette in conjunction with tonal backgrounds that range from

densities of black from 100% down to 5%.

Complementary / This is a representation of each palette to

its complementary colors in black and white backgrounds. In

order for the comparison to be more efficient they are set next

to each other.

Text contrast in black and white background / In this test we

see if the colors of the palette can be used well for text, and

has the desired contrast with the background. We check

against both white and black backgrounds.

Transparent to white / transparent to black / In this section

the colors of the palette are be tested in various transparency

settings, so that we can understand how functional they can

be under these conditions. By using a transparency scale

graded from 0% up to 95% in steps of 5%, we can assess

their efficiency in 20 different situations of transparency in

black and white fonts. This check is very important especially

to digital artists, and designers for digital media.

Color blindness simulation / Perhaps the most weird

combination of color representation. Color blindness simulation

is a unique effort to represent the colors of every palette in a

way that emulates how people with unique vision problems

and dischromatopsia will perceive the said colors. Therefore

comparison with each form of dischromatopsia: protanopia,

deuteranopia, tritanopia, protanomaly, deuteranomaly and

A package of color palettes using purple as basic color.

The color palette files are given in Adobe Swatch Exchange

format (.ase) which can be loaded in every Adobe software

such as (Photoshop, illustrator, in Design etc.). The

package also includes a catalogue in PDF format of the

tri-color representations in order to see and choose the

desirable color palette before you load it.

Every Tri-color representation has it’s own color palette and

both of them are titled with the same name. The size of

each square represents the amount of color that we can

use when coloring surfaces. This amount of color isn’t an

absolute percentage, which means that we can choose the

surfaces (drawings, designs, walls, clothes, product parts

etc.) in order to fit better to our needs. Every color inside the

tri-color matching representation has at least 10% contrast

value from the other colors.
