Through KCTCS Workforce Solutions, the Kentucky Skills Network is charged with educating and training Kentucky's workforce.
KCTCS-TRAINS is just one incentive tool to help achieve this goal.

KCTCS TRAINSNew & Expanding Companies: Guidelines
Employment minimum requirement- Create a minimum of 10 new, full-time jobs for Kentucky residents.- Maintain an annual average of at least 10 new, full-time jobs for Kentucky residents.
Investment minimum requirement- Incur capital investment costs of at least $100,000.
Eligible Companies- Any business primarily engaged in manufacturing, agribusiness,
regional/national headquarters or nonretail service.

KCTCS and The KY Federation of Advanced Manufacturing Education (KY FAME)
• KY FAME is a partnership of regional manufacturers whose purpose is to utilize dual-track, apprenticeship-style training to create a pipeline of highly skilled workers.
• This is accomplished through the Advanced Manufacturing Technician pathway at KCTCS.
• KY FAME started in central Kentucky but regional chapters are forming throughout the state.

•Classes 2 full days per week
-8 -10 hours of instruction each day
•Work at sponsoring company 3 full days per week
-8 – 10 hours per day
-24 hours of paid work per week, starting at a
competitive wage

•Subjects covered: Blueprint Reading; Electrical Motor
Controls; PLC; Robotics; Fluid Power; Machine Tool;
Welding; Industrial Maintenance, etc.
