We have a long tradition of historic window and door preservation
and unit replacement in the Midwest. Although the company has had a
name and ownership change over the past two years, the seasoned
expertise of its current ownership and company employees remain
intact.
KC Historic Window & Door
Owner Mike Settle has worked on historic window restoration
projects since 1985.
He understands all function and design characteristics of historic
windows and doors and is dedicated to preserving the historic
details of every window and door we build or refurbish.

We have worked on many projects, both large and small, with a
portfolio that includes the 2005-06 renovation and replacement of
windows and doors on first three floors of the Western Auto
Building (2107 Grand Blvd) in Kansas City, Missouri

The2008 window replacement on the Main Street Theater in Kansas
City, Missouri (14th & Main), including the curved glass window
units on the front elevation of the building.

The 2006 renovation and sash replacement of the Leavenworth County

The 2009 door renovation and window replacement of the Sewall Paint

We are suppliers of replacement windows and doors, but we also
provide parts for window and door renovation.
Once the profiles for a particular job are approved, wemanufacture
sashes, frame parts, brickmould, stops and stools that match the
parts of the original window or door for virtually any historic
building with wood windows.

Our full-time draftsman and designer, Stephen Carleton, works
exclusively for KC Historic Window and Door and is invaluable in
assuring that every job is successful. Stephen renders each detail
of every job creating a roadmap for project accuracy and
specification consensus for architects, property owners and our
production team.

Owner Steven Tolbert has worked in the building material business
for over 34 years and is a window and door expert.
He worked as a Regional Sales Manager for one of the largest
millwork suppliers in the United States and as a Branch Manager for
a major building products wholesale company in the mid-west.
Steves success as a millwork supplier is based on ensuring that
product specifications and customer service expectations are met or
exceeded.
