In comparison with the last semester evaluations, this semester’s shows aconsiderable improvement. It is considered that the newly introduced online livevideo guest lecture given by Dr Mugur Geana of the University of Kansas fromLawrense,Kansas,USAtogetherwiththeNetlogvisithelpedachievesuchscores.Asa matter of fact, the Netlog vizit and the guest lecture were had highly positivescoresandmentions.Therewere three qualitative questions at the end of the survey aswell aimed atdetermining the areas that most liked or disliked the students as well as theelements that they would have wanted the course to cover. Several studentssuggested the course to take longer though only one mention of the period wasmade–5days(similarwiththeDecember2008coursetime)Asagoodpointitwasnoted,aswiththelastsemester,thatthepracticalaspectsofthecourse.Recommendationsandsuggestions:Takingintoaccountthestudents’observationsandinanattempttomakealinktotheareasdeterminedinthecourseevaluationashavingapotentialforimprovementitissuggestedthat:
• the next New Media course will accept only those students that pass aninitialinterview(similarwithahiringinterviewthatwouldtestthestudents’awarenessanduseofthenewtechnologiesaswellastheirabilitytokeepupthe pace with a highly language specialized class); this will also sort theproblemof lackof relevanceof the course to the student’s curriculumandcareerinterests
