KASI BUSINESSES LACK ORGANISATIONAL COMPLIANCE
Small Busnnesses, NPO’s & Cooperatives
COMPLIANCE
Organisational compliance is an important element to the
success of any businesses. The success a Business empowers
the growth of the company, opportunities for employment
and economic benefits to individuals all the
way to their families.
Yet it is taken for granted and mostly
misunderstood. Many of the Kasi business
and organisation loose funding, grants and
business opportunities from government,
business and other institutions that seek to
empower kasi organisation due to the lack
of or non-compliance.
Early last year I was invited by a kasi
cooperative run and managed by woman
requesting my assistance, established in 2011. In 2012-2013
they were awarded a school uniform project and in 2013-2014
they believed that as in the previous year they will be awarded
the project, to their surprise it did not happen, due to non-
compliance. This prompted my invitation and consultation
services. After a bit of cleaning and alignment they have
qualified. Currently await schools allocation to begin the work.
This is the importance of compliance.
A lot of kasi businesses, NGO’s and
Cooperatives surfer a dramatic loss on good
prospects as well as opportunities simply
because they are not compliant. Basically
don’t qualify. Before we get to business let’s
look at this from a personal context.
In your home or house what qualifies a stranger to visit and to dine with you? And when they are invited in, are
there things they can and cannot do? Is
there expected behaviour from them?
What is that one thing that if they did
there will be no negotiations they will be out. What is
unacceptable behaviour?

the law or any governing body. Online Oxford Learner

some form of assistance for starting or growing your
Business especially from government and big business
even individuals in the form of; funding, loan, grants,
investment, partnership etc.
Caution: most people run around when they hear of an
opportunity they run to register a company, Tax
Clearance and BEE Certificate on the last minute a heavy
price to pay when you miss out the opportunity. You
have to be ORGANISED. Leave nothing to chance.
