Dear participants, coaches and officials, On behalf of the Karate-do Federation Netherlands I would like to welcome you on the WKF Karate1 Premier League tournament, also known as the Lotto Dutch Open. This fantastic tournament will again take place in Rotterdam and will be held on 19th and 20th of March 2016. The Premier League games have proven to be very successful. Quality is guaranteed, as the best martial artists in the world will compete against each other. There will be spectacular matches during this event, for the 5th time in a row. The Karate-do Association Netherlands is proud to be the organizer of this WKF Premier League tournament. Our Competition Organization Committee will do its best to make the Lotto Dutch Open a great success.

We are very happy that Rotterdam is now the host town of the 5th edition of the Karate1

Premier League Lotto Dutch Open 2016.

Recently Rotterdam is mentioned as one of the top cities in the world of culture. But also one of

Europe’s most exhilarating cities right now (shopping malls, dining and nightlife venues and

harbor) and of course for its sport facilities like soccer. The stadium of Feijenoord, “the Kuip”

and the Topsportcentre.

Therefore we are looking forward to meet you all in Rotterdam and wish you a sportive and

REGISTRATION

All competitors, referees, coaches and officials must register online using the online

system on https://www.sportdata.org/wkf/set-online/ . In case of any questions

concerning the online registration please directly contact the sportdata software team

via the email address [email protected].

Clubs / teams / federations are responsible for the quality of the entered registration

data. Changes of online registration data are possible until Friday March 4th 2016.

The official registration session will take place on Friday March 18th 2016 from 12.00

a.m. to 8.00 p.m. at the Topsportcenter.

If changes are required during the official registration session because of incorrect,

missing or new registration data, a fee of € 20 is charged for each change.

At the registration, accreditation cards will be issued with the participants main data, a

photograph and information about registered categories. The accreditation card must

be worn at all times during the event.

Only members of national federations recognized by WKF are admitted to participate.

All teams have to register their participants at the official registration session

Only one responsible per team has to register the complete team

All participants have to show their passports at the registration session

The entry fees are € 45,00 per individual category entry and € 70,00 per team category

entry.

WKF ACCREDITED COACHES

According to the new Coach License Manual 2016, the minimum level required to take part in the Karate 1 events is the “Accredited Coach” level. To obtain such certification, coaches must attend a compulsory Coach Briefing. Therefore and in order to give the opportunity to the WKF Coaches to get this certification, some Coach Briefings will be held in the following Karate 1 events:

• Karate 1-Premier League, Rotterdam, Netherlands

• Karate 1-Premier League, Dubai, UAE

• Karate 1-Premier League, Rabat, Morocco

• Karate 1-Premier League, Fortaleza, Brazil

Those coaches who wish to attend to the “Accredited Coach Briefing” in Rotterdam (Netherlands) must be registered online and must fill out the “Accreditation Agreement for Coaches” that can be downloaded from the online registration site.

Fees and payment

We would like to remind you that the fee to attend to the “Coach Briefing” and to obtain a new license or to renew your expired license of WKF Accredited Coach is 300 CHF.

No other methods of payment (bank transfer,…,) will be accepted.

Registrations and payments in site will not be accepted.

WKF Rules / Karate1 Rules

For all categories the official WKF rules / Karate1 rules are applied. Only “WKF

Approved protective equipment” is allowed to use. Athletes have to bring their own

equipment..

PRIZE MONEY

For individual categories (Kumite and Kata):

Gold Medalist: 500 €

Silver Medalist: 300 €

Bronze Medalist: 100 €

For Kata team categories:

Gold Medalist: 600 €

Silver Medalist: 400 €

Bronze Medalist: 200 €

RANKING

Competitors can earn ranking points in every Karate1 event according to the official

WKF Ranking Criteria.

Grand winners (Karate1 champions) have to participate in 6 Karate 1 events at least.

Grand winners (Karate1 champions) at the end of the WKF Karate1 season receive

extra prize money.

BOOKING CONDITIONS AND PAYMENT

The booking will be confirmed officially only after the reception of a deposit of at least

50% of the total amount of your stay before 4th of March of 2016.

PAYMENT

The balance of your booking will have to be paid not later than a week before your arrival. In case of a late booking, after the 4th of March, the booking will be only confirmed after the payment of the total amount of the stay.

CANCELLATION

You have the possibility to modify the number of participants or the duration of your stay:

- Until the 15th of February without any penalties.

- From 16th of February to the 1st of March, 50% of the amount will be due.

- From March the 1st until the beginning of the event, 100% of the amount will be due.
