Sixth largest Filipino ethno linguistic group.

May have descended from Austronesian-speaking immigrants during Iron Age.

History: 16th CENTURY:

Acted as traders in China.

Maritime Trading and even Piracy became the main source of profit.

Many kapampangans worked as mercenaries for various states and kingdoms of Southeast Asia.

17th CENTURY:The kapampangan

traders from Luzon who brought Chinese goods all across Southeast Asia were thought of as Chinese.

The Sultinate of Sulu still commissioned Kapampangans to act as trade ambassadors to China.

Pistang Danum- food is served on floating banana rafts on the waters of the Pampanga River
