引き続きみんなの日本語ⅠＬ１９～L２３の基本文型を学習し、ドリルにより定着をはかり、応用力

を養成。

既習の動詞のフォーム・助詞・助動詞の整理。

日本語運用の場面を通し、日本文化・習慣の理解を深める。

みんなの日本語Ⅰ で使用の漢字の学習を始める。

This course is for students who wish to eagerly study Japanese and those who received C or

better in the fall semester.

Course Description:

You will review the basic patterns you learned in L1 to L18 of Minna no Nihongo I in the fall

semester and practice then in everyday scenes, and practice verb forms, particles and adverbs you

have learned. You will also study L19 to L23 in the same textbook, practice other patterns by drills,

and apply them in real situations. You also understand Japanese culture and customs through

practicing Japanese. In this term, you will learn more kanji.

Course Description and Objectives

This course is a continuation of the fall semester of Elementary Japanese.

In this semester, students will study upper elementary level grammar and will further develop four necessary

skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Students will also continue the study of kanji.(300 kanji)

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This is a unique, specially designed Japanese course to offer students the hands-on opportunity to learn and study about current Japanese cultural and societal issues and topics in the Japanese language. Students learn about newspaper and make newspaper in Japanese together. The objective of this course is to engage students in cultural/social issues, thought and discussion while at the same time increasing their Japanese vocabulary; using “real life” Japanese reading and media materials; and incorporating all four skills of reading, speaking, writing, and listening.

In this course, you will acquire the Japanese language level equivalent to the level 1 of

Japanese Language Proficiency Test.

You will aim to achieve the following language skills.

Reading: To accurately and quickly understand newspaper articles and novels.

Writing: To write a variety of writing styles in Japanese using expressions required in

the level 1 of Japanese Language Proficiency Test and Kanji in the level 2 of Japanese

Kanji Aptitude Test.

Speaking: To accurately use honorific expressions and properly speak depending on the

situation.

Listening: To understand daily conversations, TV programs and movies.

If you come late to the class three times, it will be considered you miss a class.

＜履修条件＞

このクラスは日本語能力試験２級合格、あるいはそれと同等レベルの知識を持

つ学生を対象としている。

＜目標＞

・いろいろな分野の日本語に多く接し、さまざまな日本語の表現や日本の文化・

習慣などについて学ぶことがこの授業の目標である。

・「日本語を学ぶ」だけでなく「日本語で学ぶ」ことで、より実践的な読み・書

き・話し・聞きの能力を身に付ける。

＜授業の内容＞

・日本の映画を用いて、自然なスピードの日本語の聞き取りの練習を行う。同時

に、語彙や文法、背景となっている歴史や習慣を学ぶ。

・週に一度、いろいろなテーマについて、日本語で短い作文を書く。これを通じ

て、原稿用紙や便箋の使い方、日本語の文章によく使われる表現、手紙やビジネ

ス文書等の決まりを学ぶ。

・毎回学生は興味のあるトピックについて短いスピーチをする。一学期（15 週）

の間に、一人の学生は少なくとも 2 回のスピーチをしなければならない。

・そのほか、文集記事やエッセイの読解、ニュース等の聞き取りなどを随時行う。

＜成績評価＞

出席 40%

作文 30%

宿題 10%

授業態度 20%

・遅刻３回で欠席１回と換算する。

・欠席が全授業数の３分の１を超えた学生は不合格とする。

＜使用教材＞

特定の教科書は使わず、日本の映画や文集、テレビ番組などを教材として使う。

This course targets students who have already have the level 2 of Japanese Language

Proficiency Test or equivalent Japanese proficiency.

・You will learn Japanese expressions, culture, and customs through various types of

Japanese.

・Students not only study Japanese language, but also learn practical reading, writing,

speaking, and listening skills through the language study.

In order to achieve the goals:

You practice comprehending spoken Japanese at natural speed using Japanese movies,

and at the same time, they learn not only words and grammar used, but also

background historical events and customs.

You write a short essay on a variety of themes once a week. Through this writing

practice, students learn how to use Japanese-style manuscript paper and letter paper,

how to write personal and business letters, and also frequently used Japanese writing

expressions.

You make a short speech on a topic they are interested in every class meeting.

You occasionally have reading practices using newspaper articles and essays, and

listening practices using regular TV news.
