In 1989, the group restructured the divisions into independent companies for each lines of business :

Consumer products division became Marico Industries Ltd.

Oleoresins division became KFEL.

Spices exports organised under Vallabhdas Kanji Ltd.

Aromatic compounds with BOI.

In 1990, KFEL became a Joint venture between the J.V.Mariwala group (60%) and McCormick & Co. Inc (40%).

In 1996, McCormick’s 40% holding was reacquired by the J.V.Mariwala group. The group’s main food businesses are Kancor, VKL and KM Food Ingredients.

In July 2006, the name changed to Kancor Ingredients Ltd.
