This unique Japanese distilled spirit can be made from
numerous ingredients, including barley, sugar cane, buckwheat,
sweet potato, and rice. It generally has 25% alcohol by
volume sometimes rising to 45%, depending on what it has
been made from. Shochu can be enjoyed in a variety of
ways – on the rocks, with tea, hot or cold water, or your
favorite mixer.
