1. ALL DIMENSIONS ARE TO THE STUD FACE OF PARTITIONS, FACE OF
MASONRY, FACE OF CONCRETE, OR CENTERLINE OF STRUCTURAL STEEL,
UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
2. AROUND ALL EXPOSED PIPES, CONDUIT OR DUCTS, INSTALL
ENCLOSURES OF THE SAME MATERIAL AND FINISH AS ADJACENT WORK, UNLESS
OTHERWISE NOTED.
3. PROVIDE ALL NECESSARY SUPPORTS, BLOCKING, ANCHORAGE, AND
BRACING FOR LIGHT FIXTURES, MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT, PIPING, DUCTS,
DOOR TRACK ASSEMBLIES,PANELS, DRAPERIES, BLINDS, ETC.
4. FINISHES SHOWN ON DRAWINGS TO EXTEND OVER, UNDER, AND BEHIND
CABINETS, COUNTERS, EQUIPMENT, FURNISHINGS, RACKS, AND FIXTURES
UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED.
5. MAKE TRANSITION OF FLOOR FINISH AT CENTER LINE OF CLOSED
DOOR. FLASH PATCH AS REQUIRED UNDER ADJACENT FLOOR FINISHES TO
PROVIDE LEVEL, SMOOTH TRANSITION.
6. CONTRACTOR TO VERIFY ALL FIELD CONDITIONS PRIOR TO
COMMENCEMENT OF CONSTRUCTION. FIELD CONDITIONS NOT AGREEING WITH
CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS SHALL BE BROUGHT TO THE OWNERS'/ ARCHITECT'S
ATTENTION PRIOR TO BEGINNING WORK. CHANGE ORDER EXTRAS FOR WORK
DONE, WHICH IS EITHER NOT SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS. OR AS DESCRIBED IN
THE SPECIFICATIONS, OR AT VARIANCE BECAUSE OF FIELD CONDITIONS,
MUST RECEIVE PRIOR APPROVAL FROM OWNER.
7. CONTRACTORS SHALL NOT SCALE DRAWINGS. DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN
EXISTING CONDITIONS AND DRAWINGS SHALL BE REPORTED TO THE ARCHITECT
FOR CLARIFICATION PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF CONSTRUCTION. NOTED
DIMENSIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER SCALE.
8. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE INCLUSION OF ALL WORK
NECESSARYFOR A COMPLETE INSTALLATION WHETHER SUCH WORK IS OR IS NOT
INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS OR SPECIFICATIONS.
9. ALL REQUIRED SHOP DRAWINGS SHALL BE SUBMITTED IN FOUR (4)
COPIES TO THE ARCHITECT AND ONE (1) COPY SENT DIRECTLY TO THE
OWNER.
10. ALL MANUFACTURED ITEMS SHALL BE INSTALLED IN STRICT
ACCORDANCE WITH THE MANUFACTURER'S WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS.
11. ALL SURFACES DAMAGED BY CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE REPAIRED
PATCHED OR REFINISHED TO MATCH THEIR ADJACENT MATERIALS, AND/OR
REPLACED EQUAL TO ORIGINAL STATE PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF WORK,
UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED ON DRAWINGS.
12. JOB SITE AREAS SHALL BE MAINTAINED IN A CLEAN AND ORDERLY
MANNER AT THE END OF EACH DAY'S WORK.
13. WARRANTIES, GUARANTEES AND MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS ON
EQUIPMENT FURNISHED AND INSTALLED BY THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE GIVEN
TO THE OWNER.
14. ALL WORK SHALL BE CONDUCTED IN STRICT ACCORDANCE WITH ALL
APPLICABLE LOCAL, COUNTY AND STATE CODES.
15. NO CONTRACTOR OR SUB-CONTRACTOR ADVERTISING SHALL BE
INSTALLED ON THE SITE EXCEPT AS APPROVED BY THE OWNER.
16. ALL WOOD PRODUCTS USED SHALL BE FIRE-RETARDANT TREATED IN
ACCORDANCE WITH AWPA C-20 AND AWPA C-27.17. CONTRACTOR SHALL PAY
FOR ALL FEES REQUIRED TO OBTAIN ALL NECESSARY PERMITS, OTHER THAN
BUILDING PERMITS AND LICENSES FOR THE INSTALLATION OF WORK
INDICATED. BUILDING PERMIT AND SITE PLAN APPROVALS ARE BY OWNER, GC
RESPONSIBLE TO OBTAIN PERMITS AND AUTHORIZATIONS FROM THE STATE AND
LOCAL JURISDICTIONS FOR DELIVERIES, REFUSE STORAGE/ REMOVAL,
TEMPORARY SERVICE DISCONNECT.
18. THE FIRE RATING OF ALL EXISTING RATED CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE
MAINTAINED.
19. WHERE THE WORDS "PATCH", "MATCH", "REPLACE", "RELOCATE" AND
THE LIKE ARE USED, SPECIAL CARE SHALL BE TAKEN TO ENSURE THAT
COLORS, TEXTURES AND FINISHES OF DISTURBED AREAS SHALL MATCH IN ALL
RESPECTS. REPLACE IS DEFINED AS REMOVE EXISTING AND INSTALL NEW
INCLUDING ALL APPROPRIATE WITH MATCHING OF COMPATIBLE EQUIPMENT OR
MATERIAL AS SHOWN, SPECIFIED OR REQUIRED FOR COMPLETE INSTALLATION.
RELOCATE IS DEFINED AS TEMPORARILY REMOVE AND STORE IN THE FILED
AND REINSTALL WITH MATCHING OF COMPATIBLE EQUIPMENT OR MATERIAL AS
SHOWN, SPECIFIED OR REQUIRED FOR COMPLETE INSTALLATION.
20. ALL FINISH WORK IS TO BE EXECUTED TO BUILDING STANDARD
QUALITY, OR GREATER.
21. THE GENERAL NOTES AND TYPICAL DETAILS APPLY THROUGHOUT THE
JOBUNLESS OTHERWISE NOTES OR SHOWN.
22. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPARE AND COORDINATE ALL DRAWINGS.
WHEN IN THE OPINION OF THE CONTRACTOR A DISCREPANCY EXISTS, HE
SHALL PROMPTLY REPORT IT TO THE ARCHITECT FOR PROPER ADJUSTMENT
BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK.
23. WORK PERFORMED SHALL COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING NOTES UNLESS
OTHERWISE NOTED ON PLANS OR SPECIFICATIONS:-IBC INTERNATIONAL
BUILDING CODE, 2012 EDITION.-ALL APPLICABLE CODES OF AFGHANISTAN,
ORDINANCES AND REGULATIONS.-IN AREAS WHERE THE DRAWINGS DO NOT
ADDRESS METHODOLOGY, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE BOUND TO PERFORM IN
STRICT COMPLIANCE WITH MANUFACTURER'S SPECIFICATIONS OR
RECOMMENDATIONS.
24. IN THE EVENT CERTAIN FEATURES OF THE CONSTRUCTION ARE NOT
FULLY SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS, THEIR CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE OF THE
SAME CHARACTER AS FOR SIMILAR CONDITIONS THAT ARE SHOWN OR
NOTES.
25. THE ARCHITECT WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR AND WILL NOT HAVE
CONTROL OVER CONSTRUCTION MEANS, METHODS, TECHNIQUES, SEQUENCES, OR
PROCEDURES, OR FOR SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND PROGRAMS IN CONNECTION
WITH THE WORK, AND WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FAILURE OF THE
CLIENT OR HIS CONTRACTORS, SUBCONTRACTORS, OR ANYONE PERFORMING ANY
OF THE WORK, TO CARRY OUT THE WORK IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPROVED
CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.
26. GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL DISPOSE OF DEBRIS, RUBBISH AND
OTHER MATERIALS RESULTING FROM BUILDING SITE. TRANSPORT AND LEGALLY
DISPOSE OF MATERIALS OFF SITE. IF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS ARE
ENCOUNTERED DURING DEMOLITION OPERATIONS, COMPLY WITH APPLICABLE
REGULATIONS, LAWS, AND ORDINANCES CONCERNING REMOVAL, HANDLING AND
PROTECTION AGAINST EXPOSURE OR ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION.
27. IF UNANTICIPATED MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL OR STRUCTURAL
ELEMENTS WHICH CONFLICT WITH INTENDED FUNCTION OR DESIGN ARE
ENCOUNTERED, INVESTIGATE AND MEASURE BOTH NATURE AND EXTENT OF
CONFLICT. THE GC WILL SUBMIT REPORT TO OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE IN
WRITTEN, ACCURATE DETAIL. PENDING RECEIPT OF DIRECTIVE FROM OWNER'S
REPRESENTATIVE REARRANGE SELECTIVE DEMOLITION SCHEDULE AS NECESSARY
TO CONTINUE OVERALL JOB PROGRESS WITHOUT DELAY.

QUESTION.EXECUTION OF DEMOLITION SHALL PROGRESS IN SUCH A MANNER AS
NOT TO INTERFERE WITH THE SAFETY AND CONVENIENCE OF THE PUBLIC AND
THOSE AROUND THE SITE, AS WELL AS WALKWAYS, ROADS, OCCUPIED SPACES
AND ADJACENT FACILITIES.
CONTRACTOR SHALL KEEP PREMISES CLEAN AT ALL-TIME ENSURING THAT
THERE ARE NO LOOSE MATERIALS OR ITEMS WHICH MAY CAUSE INJURY.
THE DEMOLITION WORK SHALL INVOLVE INTERVENTIONS IN AREAS OUTSIDE
OF THE IMMEDIATE SCOPE OF WORK, INCLUDING WORK ABOVE AND/OR BELOW
THE FLOOR LEVEL WITHIN THE SCOPE. IT SHALL REQUIRE WORK INVOLVING
REMOTE UTILITY LINES (FIRE SPRINKLERS, PLUMBING, MECHANICAL,
ELECTRICAL, COMMUNICATIONS, ETC). ANY SUCH WORK SHALL BE INCLUSIVE
OF ALL STRUCTURES, UTILITIES, FINISHES AND EQUIPMENT REQUIRED TO
RESTORE THE AREA TO FULLY OPERATIONAL CONDITIONS. THE CONTRACTOR
SHALL ALSO CHECK AND IDENTIFY ALL EXISTING WATER, SANITARY AND
ELECTRIC LINES WHICH ARE TO REMAIN AND BE PROTECTED FROM DAMAGE
DURING DEMOLITION AND ALTERATION OF WORK.
CONTRACTOR SHALL EXERCISE EXTREME CARE WHEN REMOVING EXISTING
ITEMS THAT ARE SCHEDULED TO BE RELOCATED AND/OR REUSED. PROTECT AND
STORE THESE ITEMS ON SITE.
CONTRACTOR TO STORE AND PROVIDE SECURITY PROTECTION FOR ANY
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT RELATED TO THE SCOPE OF WORK. LOSS OR
DAMAGE OF THE CONTRACTOR EQUIPMENT NOT TO BE AT EXPENSES OF THE

8- WHERE THE CONCRETE SURFACE IS EXPOSED AND APPEARANCE IS
IMPORTANT, THE PROPERTYPE OF FORM TIE OR HANGER WILL NOT LEAVE
EXPOSED METAL AT THE SURFACE. OTHERWISE,NONCORROSIVE MATERIALS
SHOULD BE USED WHEN TIE HOLES ARE LEFT UNPATCHED,EXPOSING THE TIE
