Kahana Yoga Kahana Yoga is a class developed by professional hula dancer and 30-year yoga practitioner, Tiare Kahana. The class is a format of coordinated body postures, mindful movement, breathing, and meditation, to cultivate health and well-being. Incorporating the disciplines of ancient hula and Hawaiian philosophy, students enjoy a virtual tropical experience as part of a unique yoga practice. The class format includes warm-ups and cool-downs with gentle yoga, and basic hula movements (performed by both men and women) that improve mindfulness, balance, strength, and endurance. Students learn basic yoga sequences applying safe and effective alignment and proper breathing techniques to gain benefits such as increased energy, stress relief, and overall well-being. CHAIR YOGA format also offered for seated yoga postures or supported standing postures.
