What is Key Club?

Mission: Key Club is an international, student-led

organization providing its members with opportunities to perform service, build character, and

develop leadership.

Key Club was started by Albert C. Olney and Frank C. Vincent…

…on May 7th, 1925

They approached neighboring Kiwanis club

to help charter a similar club at their high school.

Key Club History


The club was comprised of the key boys in the school,

willing to serve the school in any way possible and to

create better school spirit.

Thus, the club was dubbed Key Club

Members make up a club.

A board is elected/appointed based off Club Bylaws that

are signed at the beginning of every year.

A cluster of anywhere from 1-16 clubs make up a

Division.

Key Club Structure-Division

Divisions are numbered according to the

founding Kiwanis Clubs in the area.



A Lieutenant Governor is elected between January and

February and SERVE the division as a liaison between the Clubs and the District.



A cluster of anywhere from 1-8 Divisions make up a

Region.

A Regional Advisor also serves the division alongside the LtG.
