CHRISTIAN HOSPITALITY Day in and day out, we are required to make judgment calls informed by tough, durable, serviceable Christian love. We do what we can do, and God takes notice. God is in charge of rewards, and a glass of water will do when that is what we have to offer with a glad and open heart. Paul gives us a clear theology for the missionary work we do whenever anybody is close at hand. He reminds us that our work, our ministry, is carried on in concert with Christ. We have been baptized into his death and life. In any given moment both life and death are there, a kind of play of shadow and light. Sometimes its difficult to tell where shadow leaves off and light begins. God will take care of that, too. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co. • CHRISTIAN HOSPITALITY

Day in and day out, we are required to make judgment calls

informed by tough, durable, serviceable Christian love. We do

what we can do, and God takes notice. God is in charge of

rewards, and a glass of water will do when that is what we

have to offer with a glad and open heart.

Paul gives us a clear theology for the missionary work we do

whenever anybody is close at hand. He reminds us that our

work, our ministry, is carried on in concert with Christ. We

have been baptized into his death and life. In any given

moment both life and death are there, a kind of play of

shadow and light. Sometimes it’s difficult to tell where shadow

leaves off and light begins. God will take care of that, too.

Prayer of Thanksgiving and Praise to the Sacred Heart

Lord, you deserve all honor and praise, because

your love is perfect and your heart sublime.

My heart is filled to overflowing with gratitude for the

many blessings and graces you have bestowed upon me

    and those whom I love.

Forever undeserving, may I always be attentive

and never take for granted the gifts of mercy and love

that flow so freely and generously from your Sacred

    Heart.

Heart of Jesus, I adore you.

Heart of Jesus, I praise you.

Heart of Jesus, I thank you.

Heart of Jesus, I love you forever and always.

    Amen.

► Bishop Spalding has extended the dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days through

August 3, 2020. We will continue to refrain from public

Sunday Masses, but will continue to offer two “private”

Masses on Saturday and Sunday. We will continue to offer public Mass each morning at 8:00 am Monday through

Friday and on Wednesdays at 6:00 pm. Any other public

Masses (such as First Saturday Mass) will be announced in

    the bulletin.

► Even though Masses have resumed, those who are

vulnerable, sick, or otherwise at risk are encouraged to

    refrain from attending Mass.

► As of July 1st, the number of people allowed to gather at

non-liturgical events will increase from 10 to 50 people as

long as social distancing can be maintained safely. ► At the present time, Father Klasek may not be able to visit

and anoint Catholics living in the facilities covered by State

regulations. The Sacrament of Sick should not be delayed

until a person is near death. Getting a person anointed

before entering these protected facilities would be

preferable to waiting until after admission.

    Happy Anniversaries,

    Father Klasek!
