What a busy May! If all
months move as fast
then we will be home in
no time. We are fully
entrenched in our mis-
sion and things are mov-
ing quickly. The rapid
pace has kept your loved
ones busy and produc-
tive. For most people
stateside, school has let
out and summer is upon
you. It is moving into
summer time here in
Qatar with days averag-
ing 115-120 degrees.
The temperature and en-
vironment can be diffi-
cult to operate in but
your Soldiers are meet-
ing and surpassing all
expectations. We thank
God the eyes of June are
upon us and we know
COMMANDER’S CORNER
Let me begin by saying I hope
everyone had a good Month of
May and hope that as you took
the time to remember Memorial
Day. As we close out yet an-
other chapter in this deployment
we have continued to represent
the unit if an ever impressive
way. We saw the long overdue
promotions for SPC Wilson,
SSG Norman, and 1LT Paton.
Congratulations to these indi-
viduals on a much deserved pro-
motion. This month as you can
see from the photos saw many of
our Soldiers competing in many
commander’s cup challenges and
remaining in the lead overall once
again. The Soldiers have shined in
every event thus far in what seems
like has been since the first day of
the deployment. The 2175th has
won the stateside event for as long
as many of us can remember. Our
Soldiers continue to show the same
performance year over year. Al-
though we still have a few more
events to compete in I am sure that
they will continue to lead the way.
Once again, If you have not seen any
pictures of your Soldiers please let us
know and we will be sure to post
them on our facebook page.
1SG PROUDLY PRESENTS
FRG SPOTLIGHT
Had a wonderful golf tournament, with 29 teams, but there were some people who did not show up.... Can you name anyone? You were missed big time. Thanks to the American Legion, the 50/50 drawing which was held, brought in a total of $500, Jeff Barton won, and choose to donate his portion back to the kitty and the proceeds where sent to Matthew and Jena Garcia for Jessica. We are counting the days for every-
one to be home. BUT, there is still a family picnic which will be held in Mo-berly this year on July 14th. Thanks to Dana McCune, things are running smooth and we are looking to have a great time. God Bless, Mama Z
