Emerging Leaders
Initiative emerged from the 2014 “Skunkworks” feedback
Defining “Emerging Leaders” as:• Mid-career HR leader (10-15+ years of HR experience)
• Has desire/capacity to rise to the next level or to the top HR Leader or top of their sub-discipline/consulting practice
• Most likely part of Generation X (39-50)/later part of Y/Millennials (18-38)
Overall objective is to identify and develop a pipeline of future leaders and expose them to the benefits of getting involved with the HRLF community
Looking to set up a couple of events that would cater directly to this group over the next 6 to 12 months
2-Pronged PilotMorning (facilitated) Peer Coaching Sessions:• Work in small group setting (~20 people)• Present your challenge and get ideas and feedback• Sharpen your listening and feedback delivery skills• Gain insights from your peers on coaching techniques and problem solving ideas• Meet top HR leaders in your backyard (one of each: Boston/North Shore/South
Shore)
Evening Gatherings:• Socialize in a micro group (6-8 people) • Set your own agenda – HRLF doesn’t have one!• Deepen relationships with HR leaders in your ‘hood • Enjoy apps on HRLF – cheers to you!
