The pineapple is botanically known as Ananas Comusus. It is one of the most important fruits of the eastern region especially in Assam, Tripura, Darjeeling, Nagaland etc. The fruit is delicious when fully ripe, and is very rich in Vitamin A, B and C and mineral salts. It is not only used as a fresh fruit, but also preserved as canned pineapple rings or slices, jam, squash, etc. Pineapple products are in great demand and are sent to the soil and climate. The pineaple is rather exacting in its requirement of soil and climate. The sweetness of the fruit depends on these factors. The soils most suitable for pineapple are the well-drained loam or sandy loam soils of the plains and laterite soils of the hills, which are rich in organic matter. It needs an acid soil of pH 4.5 to 5. It grows both in tropical and subtropical climates up to an altitude of about 3,000 feet, with the temperature
o oranging from 60 to 90 F. An altiutde up to 800 feet might be considered safe for its cultivation. It requires a rainfall varying from 30 to 200 inches annually, particularly where the crop is dependent on natural precipitation. Report Cost: Rupees Eleven Thousand Seven Hundred only with CD.

Sodium sulphide, Na s, is an organic 2
chemical that has attained as very important position in the organic chemical industry. It is an important sulphide of sodium. It is widely used in leather industry for removing hairs from the hide. It finds extensive applications in textile and also synthetics of sulphur dyes and reduction of amino compounds. It is also used in paper industry, lothogrraphy and engraving manufacture of sulphur black dyes etc. There was no production of sodium sulphide in India before the war, all the requirements being met from imports. Arrangements for the import of sodium sulphide failed and considerably difficulty was experienced by the textile and terming industries in meeting the requirements of the deffence serious for textiles and leather. The question of developing the sodium sulphide industry in India became urgent and was immediately taken up. Shortly before that time extensive deposits of sodium sulphate from which sodium sulphide is manufactured. The smaller producers either obtained sodium sulphate which left over as a by-product in the manufacture of bichromates or hydrochloric and nitric acids or Rayon industries, as in most foreign countries. There was no control over either production of sodium sulphide or its distribution or its price during war time. Report Cost: Rupees Eleven Thousand Seven Hundred only with CD.

Stainless Steel Kitchen Sinks as the name suggests are made of stainless steel. Sinks are the vessels used in houses and hotels, restaurants for cleaning dirty utensils, used for cooking, serving tea and coffee etc. and eating meals, break fasts, refreshments need to be anti-rust and strong, and hence and made of stainless steel. The sinks are used where the utensils carry lot of fat and other stick substances on the surfaces and require full dealing with detergents. There are more than 70 standard types of stainless steel. Generally, all are iron based, with 12 to 30% chromium and 0 to 22% nickel. Austenite stainless steel are most corrosion resistant. They contain 16 to 26% choromium and 6 to 22% nickel. The more famous 18:8 stainless steel contained 18% chromium and 8% nickel. These steels are tough and ductile. They are to be fabricated by all standard methods. Stainless steel sinks can either be of cylinderical shape or rectangular shaps. Generally sinks are made up in rectangular shape. Its one side is open on which the pipe line coming from the hot/cold water reservoir or steam - generating vessel is incorporated into the sink to provide water/steam at pressure for cleaning utensils. The term power plant is often used loosely to designate any plant in which steam is generated regardless of whether power is produced. In a more exact sense an industrial steam power plant is one in which power is generated from steam. The term power generation in the engineering sense implies the production of mechanical or electrical power from some other source of energy e.g, thermal hydroelectric or electrochemical energy. Conventional means of power generation have used air steam or water as a working medium for internal combustion engines reciprocating steam engines and steam and hydraulic turbines. Newer techniques such as magnetohydrodyamic, fuel-cell wind and solar power are under investigation and may eventually prove important. Per capita power consumption is a barometer of country’s prosperity, economic growth and industrialization. Major portion of the additional power requirement will have to be met through thermal generation. Further coal reserve in the country is steady depleting. Installation of coal based station away from the coal mines is expensive and complex on accoun t o f the coa l transportation. Very long transmission lines involves transmission losses and is not advantageous f rom env i ronmenta l consideration. Although nuclear power can be a solution, the concern for safety viewed in conjunction with the long gestation, period and huge capital investment involved, restrict the rate of nuclear power growth in the country. As the technology stands today, economics of unconventional can not be justified for the large scale commercial purpose. Report Cost: Rupees Eleven Thousand Seven Hundred only with CD.

R”are respectively monovalent and trivalent radicals. They are usually the double salts of ammonium, potassium or sodium sulphate with aluminium. Chromium or iron sulphate, and are readily preparedy by concentrating and cooling a solution containing molecular proportions of the Component Sulphate. Aluminium sulphate is marketed in various grades. The cheapest grade called “alum cake”. Potash alum also known as alum alumen. Ferric alumin is aluminium sulphate containing iron obtained from the bauxite ore. Potash alum is prepared from its naturally occurring minerals such as alunite, and Ratinite, but in India these do not occur in appreciable quantities. Alum was formerly prepared from alum shales by roasting them in year and leaching it out with water. Alum is now produced in India by crystallizing together equivalent produced in India by Crystallizing together equivalent proportion of potassium sulphate and aluminium sulphate. The solution is concentrated and the crystals are separated out are melted to yield lump alum or recrystalized to obtain large crystals. The fluorescent lamp is also a gaseous discharge lamp, the ‘gas’ being actually mercury vapour at low pressure. A large part of the light emitted by this discharge, however, falls in ultra-violet part of the spectrum and thus invisible; apart of this, glass will not transmit ultra-violet rays to any extent. So that very little passes through to the outside of the envelope. In order to arrive at a really efficient and economical source of light, the principle of fluorescence was introduced; by fluorescence is meant the phenomenon arising from the capacity of certain substances for absorbing short-wave radiations and re-emitting them as radiations of a longer wavelength. If for convenience we refer to the emissions just beyond the red and blue extremities of the spectrum by somewhat para doxical term “invisible light. The t ransmiss ion l ine towers are comparatively light structures and the maximum wind pressure is the main criterion for their design. The concurrence of earth quake & intensified wind pressures may also be considered in the earth quake - prone areas for design of the overhead transmission line towers. These towers are fabricated by means of bolted joints only. The structural steels of well specified quality only are used in construction of transmission line towers to ensure the permissible stresses and other design details. Practices followed in material selection, design, fabrication, testing and must suit the field conditions of this country. Various design considerations are adopted in the design of self-supporting steel lattice towers for overhead transmission lines, including loads, combination of loads, permissible stresses, wind pressures likely to be experienced during service and atmospheric corrosion intensity.

Poultry farms are increasing steadily. Many government agencies are encouraging poultry farming and even short term training courses are organised regularly. Such farms have generated considerable employment opportunities in semi urban and rural areas. Marketing of poultry birds is expensive and death of birds during transit is the main bottleneck. This compels most of the poultry farms to concentrate on nearby markets even if it means less prices. Instead, if these birds are processed after dressing and packed in tins then transportation is easier, shelf life of the product goes up and the product is more hygienic. Paper is a felted well, faleric or tissue usually of cellulose fibres used for writing upon or for wapping articles. It derives its name from papyrus’, a tall reed cyperus papy rees linn, cultivated in ancient times in egypt and used for making writing material. Paper making is reported to be a chinese invention dating back to 150 A.D. and the first paper sheets were produced from mublerry bark. It was introduced into europe by aralies towards the middle of the twelfth century. Paper making is reported to have been introduced into India at the time of Muslim invasion and it gained a good footing in Kashmir and Punjab and subsequentlyu spread to Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, U.P., Bihar, Bengal, Mysore and Madras. Primitive method employed was to pulp the filerous material flax or rag with water prepare a diluted stock and lift a portion over a wive mesh to remove superfluous water and leave a thin, even layer of fetted on the mesh; the well was dried and finished into a sheet. The process of making paper was improved upon gradually over centuries and a process for producing continuous sheets was developed in 1799 and the Foundrinier machine was introduced in 1804; the cylinder machine came into use soon after. The bulk of manufactured paper is used for writing and for printing of books, periodicals and newspaper. Report Cost: Rupees Eleven Thousand Seven Hundred only with CD.

Among the nonlining and lining things, however, there is a material which finds this category perfectly that is Teflon. Like a true ascetic, Teflon remains untouched even in the most corrosive environment. Not even aqua-regia, the powerful chemical which can dissolve gold, can affect it. Teflon lining has acquired unique place among materials of industrial importance, by virtue of its remarkable stability and non-adhesive property. What has made Teflon the prince of plastics. It is the C.F (carbon fluorine) bond, a bond formed with Fluorine, the mightiest of all nonmetals. The birth of Teflon came about through an accident the story is a cylinder containing a gas made of fluorine and carbon atoms (tetrafluoroetheylene) was left standing in a place for quite sometime. A little oxygen from the surrounding air leaked in and initiated a process which converted the gas into a semisolid as a resin. When the cylinder weighed as it full but no gas came out, the researchers became curious and cut open the cylinder to find a new substance. Emulsion is stable mixture of two or more immiscible liquids held in suspension by small percentage of substance called emulsifiers. All emulsion are comprised of a continuous phase and a disperse phase. Wax Emulsion for construction is used for water repellant and coating. An emulsifiable wax which can be dispersed in water with or without alternation of i ts chemical composition, is known as wax emuslion. Waxes which contain free alcohols and free acids are emulsifiable but usually require the assistance of a dispersing agent. Since most of the natural waxes have a low content of free alcohols and acids and are largely const i tu ted of a lcohol esters and hydrocarbons, preference is given to synthetic waxes which are expressly made for emulsification purpose. Milk is an Important human food. It is palatable, easy to digest and highly nutritives. It contains proteins, fat, sugar, minerals and a liberal quantity of different kinds of vitamins. In World milk production, India ranks next only to the United States of America and the U.S.S.R. But the milk produced in India is far from adequate for its vast population as the daily average consumption per head comes to even less than half of the optimum requirement of about 310 grams. The importance of milk in human diet especially for children and expectant and nursing matters is vital. To meet the demand of the increasing population milk production in India has to be increased upto about 64 million tonnes by 2000 Ad. It is neither possible nor desirable to increase the cattle and buffalo population to achieve this target. This can only be achieved by stepping up milk production of our bovine population by cross breeding of cows and use of improved cows and buffaloes. Paper making is reported to have been introduced into India at the time of Muslim invasion and it gained a good footing in Kashmir and Punjab and subsequentlyu spread to Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, U.P., Bihar, Bengal, Mysore and Chennai.

While PET bottle development was proceeding in the US, a large manufacturer of injection moulding machines in Japan, was leading a project to develop a machine to make biaxially oriented PP (polypropylene) containers. They recognized that the prototype machine could be used to produce the new PET bottles and, in December 1975, the One-stage ASB-150 injection stretch blow moulding machine for making the new biaxial oriented PET bottles was unveiled. All one-stage injection stretch blow moulding machines derived from this original Stretch Blow design are referred to as classic one-stage machines, as the concept has long since been extended into other PET developments. The classic one-stage machines design is extremely versatile in that the same basic machine design can be used to make a wide variety of bottles and jars in all shapes and sizes, which was the standard single-stage machine in the early years, had eight cavities for 1.5 litre bottles. Menthol is a white crystalline chemical product. It is manufactured either from natural source or is produced synthetically. Laevo ro Racemic forms are only therapeutically active. Melting point of natural or synthetic laevomenthol lies between
o41 and 44 C. Menthol is utilized by a wide spectrum of users for its following properties, namely (a) flavouring agent (b) anti-pruritic (c) cooland and (d) cariminative. Two varieties of menthol are produced in India the crystals and the flakes. The crystals are preferred by most users probably because of history and past usage and there fetch a better price than flakes. There is a happy news for all the members that menthol mentholised mentha oil spearmint oil, citrate oil an also bazil oil from northern Indian house found roads into other countries. thanks our exporters who have taken the pains and lead in exporting these oil at the right movement otherwise the price use bound to crash the year. Internet service providers are companies that provide you with Internet access so that your computer can become connected to the Internet. If you want surf the web, use e-mail, or chat online, then you need an Internet provider through which your computer can communicate with the rest of the world. There are many different types of Internet providers offering various ways of Internet access. Access fees can range from less than ten dollars for standard phone access to over 100 dollars for reliable high-speed access for businesses. DSL, short for Digital Subscriber Line, refers to a family of technologies that provide a digital connection over the copper wires of the local telephone network. The local loop of analogue telephone connections usually limits communications to a low-frequency band of 0.3 - 4 kHz, but in practice the equipment can usually communicate using a much wider range of frequencies, ranging from these low frequencies up to 200 - 800 kHz, depending on the quality of the circuit and the sophistication of the equipment. DSL services often reserve the 0.3 - 4 kHz band for the “plain old telephone service” (POTS) over the same line. Report Cost: Rupees Eleven Thousand Seven Hundred only with CD.

Wall Putty a plastering material to fill the holes and patches before paint primer or distemper. In general, fillers & stoppers are paste-like materials, highly pigmented, used to fill surface imperfections (fillers) and to make good gross surface defects prior to painting operations (stoppers). Caulking compounds, putties and same cements have a boiled drying oil, usually combine with resins that act as the binder putty is the thick mixture of finally powdered calcium carbonate (whiting) and acid refined linseed oil which imparts good wetting and grinding characteristics. There are variegated types of putties for wood too. For glazing wood & filling holes and cracks on the surface, of timber or metal, a stiff paste of linseed oil and whiting is used. This composition is the traditional putty. It is sometimes modified by the addition of small amounts of white lead in oil. A soldering flux is a liquid, or solid material which, when heated, is capable of promoting or accelerating the wetting of metals by solder. The purpose of a soldering flux is to remove and exclude oxides and other impurities from the joint being soldered. An efficient flux removes films and oxides from the metal and solder and prevents reoxidation of thesurfaces when heated. It is formulated to lower the surface tension of the molten solder so that the solder will flow readily and adhere to the metal. The flux should be readily displaced from the metal by the molten solder. It is some times convenient to have fluxes in the form of pastes. Paste fluxes are free from the objection to liquid fluxes which are liable to drain off the surface leaving insufficient flux behind and running over other parts of the work where flux would be harmful. Coaltar is produced by the dry distillation of coal and is therefore a by product in the manufacture of coal gas. For a considerable time after the discovery of coal gas, the tar produced was considered merely an encumbrance and was used mainly as a pigment or fuel. The purification of coaltar is affected by distillation. The crude tar, which contains a considerable quantity of ammonia water, is furst freed from this by gravitation. It is then transfered to the vertical stills, which are connected with a warm surrounded with water which can be cooled or warmed as occasion requires. Distillation of the
ofraction boiling above 270 C is usually completed under reduced pressure. Report Cost: Rupees Eleven Thousand Seven Hundred only with CD.

Cold storage industry is a very important and essential industry. In India, fruits and vegetables are produced in plenty. A large number of fruits and vegetables are exported to other countries and even in India itself fruits and vegetables are transported from one place to another. This transportation business takes some time. So, it is desirable that fruits should be kept at a place where they can remain safe, other wise a lot of its will be wasted. For this purpose, Cold Storage is used. Cold Storage is a special kind of room the temperature of which is kept very cold with the help of machines and instruments. The temperature is maintained low with the help of precision instruments. In deciding the scale of a cold storage plant, all the external condition locational conditions stored, object etc. must be considered. When the scale of plant is larger however running costs would generally be less and automation would become more exact. Report Cost: Rupees Eleven Thousand Seven Hundred only with CD.

The great importance of the industrial gas, oxygen is due to the usefulness of the acetylene torch for steel welding and steel cutting, and for the welding of other metals, to lesser degree to the oxyhydrogen flame. Oxygen gas in the breathing apparatus for a visitors at high altitudes and for oxygentents in hospitals is a high altitudes and for oxygentents in hospitals is a more recent development. An extension of of the use of oxygen lies in the increased intensity and speed of reactions brought about by oxygen enriched air instead of ordinary air; the reduction of the cycle time so achieved in chemical or metallurgical process permits a greater yield per volume of equipment, and brings about lower costs. Oxygen as a raw mater ial for synthesizing chemical compounds is in daily use (ethylene oxide, sodium peroxide). Liquid oxygen mixed with carbon black may yet become an important and cheap explosive. Electronics displays are a vital part of information processing activity as this is the easiest way to acquire information with the eyes. With increasing diffusion of information technology and convergence of consumer electronics, computers and telecommunications, the role of displays is becoming more significant. Because of emphasis on rultimedia, display must largely provide better contrast and colour and have higher resolutions. It is essential that they be also ergenomically and airthetically pleasing to the operator. LEDs are solid state displays which work on the principle of semiconductor diode technology. These displays are thin and compact, and produce homogeneous colours which make colour distinction easy. LEDs have highest Luminescence among the various types of displays. The power consumption of LEDs is less than that of ELDs and PDPs. The major drawbacks of LEDs are their narrow viewing angle and limited size availability. The physical features of any land play a very important part in the development of its culture and history. It is more so in the case of such a sub continent as India, the northern frontiers of which have been guarded by an almost impregnable Himalayas and the peninsular procenia defended by the mighty occeans. Both these barriers have served to protect the territory from frequent external aggressions and this fact has shaped our history. The physiography has also influenced enormously the development of our culture. The glorious art and architecture of Ajanta, Ellora and Elephanta were made possible by the surrounding natural environment. The importance of nature was well appreciated by Indians from the beginning of time as evinced by the lore of mountains and rivers deeply ingrained in the Hindu and Buddhist religious. The geological history and the structure of the Indian subcontinent are reflected in its physical features. The geology and physiography are so inter-related that to understand one, an appreciation to the other is necessary. The subcontinent is divisible into the following three fundamental segments, the geology and physiography of each being distinctive. Report Cost: Rupees Eleven Thousand Seven Hundred only with CD.
