LayMission? What’sthat?Have you ever considered that you have a vocation simply by the fact that you are baptized? Through our baptism we are called to be priest, prophet, and king/queen. It is our vocation as laity. The Diocese is offering a program that will help you explore your ‘Lay Vocation’ and your ‘Lay Mission.’ This is a program that will prepare you to become Christ to the secular world. Come to an informational meeting to ind out how, and hear from others who have completed this program and how it has changed their lives. The meeting will be Thursday, July 18 at 7:00pm in the La Salle room. For more information, contact Rita Schillin at (916) 872-4700 or Chuck Kava at (916) 783-5344.

CouplesRetreatFriday-Sunday,July19-21ChristtheKingRetreatCenterThe theme of our retreat is encountering Jesus! Mark 6:56 tells us that people were “imploring Him that they might just touch the fringe of His cloak; and as many as touched it were being cured.” The most important thrust of Scripture is the therapeutic touch of Jesus for our marriage! Fr Bob will re lect how the encounter of Christ is utterly important in our marriage and family. The heart of the Sacrament of marriage is to experience the love of Christ in our spouse!
