Message from the President: Lorraine Ador Dionisio

HELLO KEY CLUBBERS! <3

Happy July! Wow we are already in the middle of

summer, but our service does not stop here! I hope that you all are having a great summer ~ sleeping in, tanning at the

beach, going on vacation, etc., but I hope that you all are volunteering as well! There are many different types of volunteering opportunities in which you can all partake in!

Remember that we always volunteer at the Shepherd of the Valley Church, every Thursdays feeding the homeless! In

addition, we also feed the homeless at the Samaritan Center, every first Thursday of the month! Please contact myself, or

Mitchell Nagy and Katie Guadagno for more information!

Also, we are planning to do other types of volunteering opportunities such as helping with the animal shelter, the Children's Hunger Fund, Operation Gratitude, park and beach cleanups, and more! So keep in tune for new and cool opportunities to do for the summer! Our service is our way

of life so keep on giving that helping hand!

Don't forget about our summer of service in which the member with the most volunteer hours will get a FREE fall rally ticket! THAT'S RIGHT A FREE TICKET TO SIX FLAGS MAGIC MOUNTAIN! With

that being said, please, please, please, remember to email your monthly hours to our secretary, Mandi Ahn at [email protected] before the 5th of every month! This is crucial as we have to turn in a monthly report form (MRF) to the district and we need a record of your hours to show

your hard work and dedication!

Anyways, aside from service, I just want to thank all of you for making the first couple months of my term an awesome one! YOU ARE ALL GOLDEN KEY CLUBBERS! Without any of you, my position and our club wouldn't exist! I really look forward to spending my senior year with all of you and I

hope to make your school year a blast as well! Please feel free to email or message me any suggestions that you have for the club! Whether it be through Facebook, email, or text message, I

would love to hear your ideas! With love for Key Club and Service,

Lorraine Ador Dionisio

To raise money for the Santa Susana and Moorpark Key Clubs, we had an Ice-skating

fundraiser at the Iceoplex in Simi Valley! Although only about 15 people were there, we

still had a lot of fun. I got to bond with people from Moorpark along with seeing my friends

from Santa Su! I hope we can do another fundraiser soon because ice-skating was a

memorable experience. -Breanna Scranton, Vice President

Summer Service Project

The member who gets the most service hours this summer will be awarded a FREE Fall Rally

Ticket! If you don't know what Fall Rally is, it is a District wide event in which Key Clubs from

ALL over Southern California and even Nevada go to Six Flags Magic Mountain for a day! Talk

about Key Club OVERLOAD! :D There, we go CRAZY with our spirit and we scream cheers until

our voices are gone (literally)! We also get to make friends from ALL over our district and have

FUN riding all the roller coaster rides! So my Key Clubbers, keep volunteering this summer!

AMAZE us with how many service hours you can put in while we don't have school! Also,

remember to turn in all your service hours before the 5th of every month which means, BEFORE

July 5th and August 5! You need to do this so we can recognize you for all your hard work! Email them to our Secretary, [email protected]!

T-Shirt Design Contest

Santa Su Key Club wants their very own T-Shirt! Here is your prime-time opportunity to show us your creativity! We want our Key Clubbers to be sporting an AMAZING shirt that is

classy, but shoes both school and Key Club pride. Are you up for the challenge? Design submissions are due no later than June 26th!

Check out the flyer (to the right).

Little Explorers Preschool

Want to play with little kids and help the supervisors this summer? Well, Little Explorers

Preschool is giving us a volunteer opportunity through ought July, Monday through Friday, to let us earn some hours and make friends with the cute little humans! For more

information about when and where, refer to the Calendar page. Note: It will be highly appreciated if you keep the time and days you volunteer consistent

throughout your volunteering experience with Little Explorers Preschool. For example, your

shift is every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30-1:00, and if you need to change your times, or know you won’t be coming in, remember it is always courteous to notify the supervisor

the day before! Hope you all have fun with the kids!
